Zach Bryan and Kings of Leon took over Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on August 15th, and it was nothing short of electric.

The two recently teamed up on “Bowery,” a hauntingly beautiful ballad that shows off both Bryan’s lyricism and Kings of Leon’s ability to lean into something vulnerable.

Listen to the song here:

It’s the kind of track that hits you right in the chest, especially with lines like:

“Young man there’s a place you can go, you can hide
I know you’ll never be fully done or fully satisfied
You want the world, want the girl
Everything in between”

But as it turns out, “Bowery” wasn’t the only surprise this collaboration had in store.

On stage in San Francisco, Zach Bryan and Kings of Leon debuted a brand-new, unreleased song titled “We’re Onto Something.” It carries the same honesty as “Bowery,” but with a little more edge, leaving fans completely locked in from the first note.

The crowd swayed as Bryan and Caleb Followill’s voices blended together on the chorus:

“I think we are onto something
Hit me up when you’re around
You don’t owe me nothing
You just like to let yourself down”

Bryan pulled out his harmonica for the live debut, adding another layer to the performance, while Followill’s vocals gave the song that signature Kings of Leon grit. The chemistry between them is undeniable.

Kings of Leon posted a clip from the night:

Fans in the comments summed it up perfectly:

“I was there at the front. It was so amazing.”

“Masterpiece.”

“So when is this releasing?”

And honestly, that’s the real question.

Luckily, if you can’t get enough, the full live version is already floating around:

Until the official release drops, this performance is going to be on repeat for a lot of people. Two powerhouse acts coming together like this doesn’t happen every day, and judging by what we’ve heard so far, Zach Bryan and Kings of Leon are just getting started. The post Zach Bryan Joins Kings Of Leon In San Francisco For Unreleased Collab “We’re Onto Something” & Fans Can’t Get Enough first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
