Mikel Arteta started his career as a youth player with the spanish club Barcelona.
After being loaned out to PSG he was sold to Glasgow Rangers.
His career in Scotland was shorted lived, but he did score a title securing penalty back in 2003.

After a brief return to his local Spain with Real Sociedad, he eventually settled in the Premier League club Everton.
