Arsenal 4-0 Newcastle: Match Report 16 Feb 2020
Arsenal end winless run in fantastic way as winter break breathes life into Gunners
Arsenal secured their second Premier League win under Mikel Arteta on Sunday as four second-half goals help Arsenal for victory at the Emirates.
Arsenal have the majority of possession and created more chances than Newcastle in the first half but failed to score the goal.
Arsenal came out all guns blazing after the interval and Nketiah came close to breaking the deadlock, seeing his close-range effort clip the crossbar after some good work from Pepe.
Captain Aubameyang scored the first goal at 54 minutes.
Nicolas Pepe floated a cross for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to head 1st goal then scored one of his own less than three minutes later.
Mesut Ozil completed a fine Arsenal move in the 90th minute, marking his first goal in the Premier League since last April.
Alexandre Lacazette broke his own goalless run with the late finish, his first since Dec. 5 against Brighton.
The match also marked the first time Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe all scored in the same game.
