Slipknot Announce Deluxe 6-LP Box Set of Self-Titled Album, It Sells Out Instantly

Well, that didn’t take long. After teasing the ever-living shit out of a nostalgia-laden box set celebrating the 30th anniversary of Slipknot’s self-titled breakout record, the time finally came where it was announced and put on sale — only for it to sell out in minutes.

We’re talking about a $250 six-LP box set with a buncha extra goodies that was limited to just 100 units worldwide. That’s such an ultra-rare collector’s item that unless the bots got to it, only a very select group of dedicated fans will officially own.

But what came in the box set, you’re wondering? It came with 59 total recordings, including the band’s legendary Indigo Ranch demos and mixes, unreleased rarities, and high-octane live performances from 1999 and 2000, all spread across six colored vinyl LPs. As far as physical items are concerned, the box set comes with nine photo cards and a set of never-before-seen images from the members’ personal collections.

The box set was limited to one item per customer, but that didn’t stop the listing to go from ‘buy now’ to ‘Sorry. Sold Out’ on every single iteration of the boxset. That’s kinda to be expected, really.
