Hitting the road.

This morning, Riley Green announced his 2026 Cowboy As It Gets Tour, which will kick off next year in April in Southaven, Mississippi and run through August ending in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Riley will be joined by Justin Moore as direct support, as well as a rotating group of openers in Drake White, MacKenzie Carpenter, Zach John King, Hannah McFarland and Adam Hood.

If you’ve ever seen Riley live in concert before, then you know he’s not one to jump around stage, dancing or doing too much to where it takes away from the music, but is always engaging with the crowd and delivers the straightforward, true country music we all love so much.

Riley is going to be playing some even bigger venues this year, and it’s been really cool to see his progression as an artist over the last several years, and it still feels like just yesterday I saw him play a show at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, North Carolina to a less-than sold out crowd.

It just goes to show the value of grit, hard work and determination, and in terms of mainstream country, he’s one of the few that carries on the country tradition by honoring his roots with impressive songwriting and simple, yet deep and emotional songs that cut straight to the heart.

Riley Green country music

The country star is coming off a huge last year or so, after releasing his third studio album Don’t Mind If I Do in October of last year, which included hit songs “Worst Way” and “Damn Good Day to Leave.” He recently released a deluxe version of the album with six new songs, including the one this tour is named for, “Cowboy As It Gets.”

In 2024, Riley also took home a CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year for his duet with Ella Langley, “You Look Like You Love Me.” They also won the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year for their viral hit. For the 2025 ACM Awards, the duet also received nominations for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Event of the Year, and Riley has four nods in total.

He continues to evolve and somehow put out better songs, while still managing to stay true to his classic country roots at the same time, which is impressive and most of what I love so much about his music. It’s nearly impossible to toe that and do it well, but Riley’s been putting out some of his best music as of late and he’s certainly earned the spot to play at these bigger arenas and even some amphitheaters next summer.

It’s always exciting when an artist you’ve loved for a long time, pretty much since the beginning, starts taking off, and Riley is really just getting started.

He’s easily one of my favorite country acts to see live in concert too, and if you haven’t seen him before, you are really missing out… tickets for all 2026 dates of the Cowboy As It Gets Tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 19th.

^Not A Live Nation Show

The recently released deluxe edition of Don’t Mind If I Do features six new songs added to the tracklist of his third studio album, and two of them have features from other artists in “Cowboy As It Gets” with Randy Houser and “I Just Need You” with Hannah McFarland, who will open some of the shows on this tour.

The other new songs are “Make It Rain,” “What Am I Supposed To Do Now,” “Bet They’re Biting” and “One To Willie,” which in fact features the living legend himself, Mr. Nelson, and the instantly recognizable sound of his trusty guitar Trigger.

“One To Willie”

The already fan-favorite “Make It Rain,” which Riley has teased for months now, is just beautiful:

“Bet They’re Biting” is a song about Riley’s grandpa getting older, and it will rip your heart out too:
