Arsenal could be set for a significant shake-up in attack this summer. They have already signed Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres and it appears they are not yet finished with their forward-line renovation.
The latest news suggests Leandro Trossard is increasingly likely to leave the club. According to The Times, the Belgian winger has attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund and several Premier League sides, with Arsenal now open to selling the 30-year-old as they reshape their frontline.
Trossard, who joined from Brighton in January 2023, has just one year remaining on his contract. Despite his £19million valuation on Transfermarkt, Arsenal are expected to seek more than £20million to help fund potential reinforcements.
Andrea Berta, now leading the club’s transfer strategy, is believed to be targeting a dynamic left winger as part of Mikel Arteta’s tactical evolution. Two names have emerged prominently in recent weeks: Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze and Real Madrid’s Rodrygo. Both would command a significant fee, meaning outgoings like Trossard could be crucial in balancing the books and clearing space in the squad for more arrivals.
Eze, who is 27 and has also drawn interest from Manchester City in the past, would bring creativity and versatility to Arsenal’s attack. Rodrygo, 24, is a more ambitious target but could become available for a reduced fee as it becomes clearer his position in the squad is diminishing.
If Arsenal are to mount a serious title challenge again, reinforcements in wide areas will be essential. That may start with Trossard’s departure paving the way for a major attacking signing.
