Post Malone Fights Back The Tears As Jelly Roll Delivers An Emotional “Thank You” For Taking Him On Tour: “Nobody’s Ever Given Me A Chance Like This”

As more and more artists from outside the genre try their hand at country music, Post Malone has undoubtedly experienced the most success since crossing over. Beyond bringing on an all-star cast for F-1 Trillion, the “I Fall Apart” singer fully embraced Music City, its culture and most importantly, its people.

As we all know by now, F-1 Trillion was a massive success for Post that ultimately served as a massive amalgamation of different styles, subgenres and artists of the past and present. While some of the album can absolutely be labeled as a mixed bag in terms of cohesion and overall quality, one thing that cannot be denied about Post is the quality of his second massive tour behind the album, the Big A** Stadium Tour.

First beginning in the U.S. back in April, the tour sold out stadiums across the country, including the likes of AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Wrigley Field in Chicago, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Ford Field in Detroit and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The Big A** Stadium World Tour would also experience similar success across the pond, selling out stadiums across Europe in France, Germany, Italy, the U.K. and more.

Though the U.S. leg featured a stellar opening cast, including Sierra Ferrell, Wyatt Flores and Chandler Walters, the primary opener throughout both legs has been none other than Jelly Roll.

Regardless of your thoughts on Jelly Roll as an artist and performer, there’s one thing that cannot be denied about him: his ability to deliver an incredible speech. This was put on display brilliantly once again at their final show of the tour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday night.

Getting emotional alongside Post on stage, the “I Am Not Okay” singer grabbed him by the shoulder and thanked the Texas native for allowing him to tour with him, noting that no one has ever given him a chance like that before.

“Nobody’s ever given me a chance like this. Nobody’s ever taken me to 30-40 cities across the world. Took me to stadiums across the United States. You gave me more money than anybody’s ever gave me to play a show opening for anybody in my f****** life. And you fly me over to Europe for the first time. Dude, you changed my life. Our friendship means more to me than you will ever know. They said, ‘Do you want to do it again next summer?’ I’ll do it every summer with you, Austin. Thank you for the opportunity.

Looking directly into Post’s eyes, Jelly then went on to give the “I Had Some Help” singer his flowers, pointing out how much love he sees around him each night.

“You’re an awesome spirit. You’re a sweet soul. You are a family man. I see a mother, a father, a daughter, somebody in your family every night backstage. You’re a great human. Everybody who works for you loves you, Post. There is a backstage crew of people who love you. We love you. I love you. Thank you for bringing me on this f****** tour, sincerely.”

Growing even more animated by the second, Jelly would close his speech by telling Post that he changed his life, also noting that his music saves people.

And you know if I texted you this, you wouldn’t text me back, so I’m telling you this in front of everybody ’cause you don’t accept compliments well…. You changed my life, and you changed 40,000 people here’s lives. That’s why people love you. That’s why you can sell 80,000 tickets. Your music saves people, Post. We love you, Posty.

After closing by leading the crowd in a “We love you, Posty” chant, the two embraced in a hug, providing an emotional closer to the tour in a way that only Jelly Roll could.
