Bryan Martin is addressing his recent mishap on stage.
Over the weekend, country singer Bryan Martin was set to perform at the Schaghticoke Fair in New York. However, fans did not get the show they had expected. Martin took to the stage visibly intoxicated. His level of intoxication impacted his ability to perform, and ultimately, the show was cut short and removed from the stage by police.
Martin, best known for hits like “We Ride” and “Memory to Drown,” was seen slurring onstage and drunkenly addressing the crowd. He refused to leave the stage when someone, presumably from his team, tried to get him off:

In other footage, Martin confessed to being intoxicated, saying that he was “a little drunk,” while also taking a shot at Gavin Adcock (popular thing to do these days).
As it became evident that he would not be able to perform, police officers and security escorted Martin off the stage. However, after Martin refused to cooperate, officers had to intervene and physically carry him away.
It appears that he won’t face any charges from the incident, as Rensselaer County Sheriff Kyle Bourgault released a statement wishing the country singer the best:
“Addiction is a disease, and it requires both accountability and empathy. My hope is that Mr. Martin receives the resources and support he needs to overcome this struggle and continue to share his gift of music with fans in a healthier way.”
Following Martin’s apology, the Sheriff added:
Before this particular incident, Bryan has been very transparent with fans regarding his struggles with mental health and addiction. He went to rehab in 2024.
After the show, Martin took to social media to own his actions and to apologize to fans. From his post, Bryan admits that he broke his sobriety and has not been honest with himself about the state of his mental health.
“Sorry I let y’all down tonight… truth is I’m not ok… been hitting it hard for a while and haven’t took time to be honest with myself about my mental health and it’s nothing new to struggle with my anxiety and depression.. but I’ve had a weight on my heart lately that’s Been heavy and accumulating with time and I let myself and my fans down by not addressing them and getting help and pretending it was all gonna just go away.. feelings and this life ain’t ever gonna be something that gets easier..
I miss my babies and my family and the man I’m set on being I’ve never had the courage to be.. but lately I’ve learned I let my fragile mind override my heart at times and tonight it got the best of me… I apologize for the bad days… but I’m grateful for the countless good nights we’ve shared this year.. it’s been the most consistent streak I’ve seen in years.. day one of another one starts today..
Gods Got more in store and he’s restoring my strength as we speak… I’ll still be rocking but I think it’s times to slow down a lil and get back to writing songs and getting the help I need… I’m not ever proud when I reach for another drink… hope yall can find it in you to forgive me and hope I can be a better version of myself with some prayer and love.. and I appreciate yall believing in a broken old soul like me…”
Martin also made a secondary post, sarcastically saying that he “made it on Whiskey Riff, but in a more serious note, he also admitting that he does not remember anything from that evening:
“I don’t remember this one, but sorry it wasn’t the show you came to see, but it’s a show all the same. Apologies to the fans… f*** the trolls.. and respect for The Sheriffs office I appreciate y’all getting me out of my own way.. and honestly I’m thankful for the support and understanding..
I don’t remember a damn thing.. but I’m missing my necklace.. and my Rattlesnake Hatband.. and maybe a butterscotch.. can’t remember if I ate it or not.. but lesson to be learned here ‘Don’t ask me what I know about that night in Schagticoke waking up in a psych ward.. deposit never made it, cause I got too damn faded, that’s just the facts, that was some expensive a** Jack, found out they don’t f**k around in New York..'”
We hope that Martin seeks the help that he needs and gets back on the road to sobriety. We’ve all had one too many in our life, and for just about everybody, it doesn’t happen in front of a crowd of people. As he shared, he came off the longest streak of sobriety he’s gained after that performance, we are confident that he can get back there.
We are all cheering for you, Bryan Martin. You’ve got it, man.
Following the apology post, Martin shared a new song he just wrote titled, “Better Life.”
