Talk about a stacked lineup.
Cheyenne Frontier Days is of course legendary in the rodeo world, but they’re equally legendary for the incredible country music concerts that they bring along to Wyoming every summer.
The rodeo, which started all the way back in 1897, is the “World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo & Western Celebration” and draws upwards of 200,000 people to Cheyenne – nearly quadruple the city’s population for 10 amazing days during the summer.
While people obviously flock to Frontier Days for events like bull riding, saddle bronc, steer wrestling and barrel racing, the rodeo always features a stacked lineup of entertainment in the evenings with their Frontier Nights, having previously hosted concerts from legends like Chris LeDoux, George Strait (who holds the record for 2 of the top 10 biggest shows in Frontier Days history), Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels, Reba, Alan Jackson…the list goes on and on.
And for this year’s event, which runs from July 18-27, they’ve put together an incredible schedule of shows that rival any they’ve ever had.
Kicking off the 10-day event on July 18 is Wyoming native Ian Munsick, along with country music legend Travis Tritt. And Munsick isn’t the only home state talent who will be taking the main stage: Chancey Williams, a relative newcomer who not only makes incredible western country music but has also competed in the rodeo himself, will be performing on July 23 along with Brooks & Dunn.
Cody Johnson, another former rodeo star himself, will be headlining the main stage on July 25 along with Randy Houser, while one of country music’s newest superstars, Megan Moroney, takes the stage the following night. (If you were at CMA Fest this year, you know how long the line was to see Megan’s show at the Riverfront Stage).
Rounding out the lineup are performances from Jordan Davis and Brett Young, Bailey Zimmerman and Josh Ross, and Luke Bryan and Priscilla Block. And along with the concerts, on July 21 & 22 the arena will host the PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour.
Speaking on this year’s stacked lineup, Contract Acts Chairman Mike Wilkinson praised the mix of country legends and future superstars:
“With a phenomenal blend of iconic country music stars and rising talent, this year’s Frontier Nights lineup promises an electrifying celebration of music, rodeo, and Western heritage. We can’t wait to share these unforgettable moments with everyone this July.”
Prices range from $39.50 – $134, rooftop starts at $200, and Tunes on the Terrace range from $225 – $275. Xtreme Bulls tickets range from $25 – $95. And while those prices are already some of the best you’ll ever find for these artists, a $5 discount is offered on concert tickets purchased before July 1.
Can’t beat it with a stick.
