Wade Forster Pauses Show & Personally Breaks Up Fight: “Hug Him Back, Otherwise You’re Out”

Not a concert to be picking a fight at.
These days, it feels like every other video on my timeline is from a concert or a fight breaking out, and shockingly, at shows that often do not draw rowdy crowds. Of course, you have artists like Gavin Adcock and Treaty Oak Revival who are known for encouraging fans to embrace a rowdy nature, but even those guys are making sure to scan the crowd in case a fight breaks out. And when one does, the whole show halts to stop the issues.
However, at other concerts like the Red Clay Strays and Braxton Keith, who do not often draw beer-slinging or elbow-throwing folks, have had their fair share of misbehaved fans at shows as well. Recently, the Red Clay Strays halted a show due to a man hitting a woman mid-fight. It was no surprise that frontman Brandon Coleman looked at the fan and suggested that they leave the venue.

Now an Australian native, Wade Forster is having to do the same at his shows. However, instead of just making sure that fans are okay and moving on with the setlist, he used the moment to stress how important it is not to let silly, drunken fights ruin a friendship between two mates getting into it.
A TikTok user, Faith Fullmer (@faithfullmer), shared a clip from a recent concert in Salt Lake City where Forester took the time to personally break up the fight and facilitate the apology between the two men so everyone could enjoy the rest of the night. Fullmer captioned the post:
“Another reason to love Wade Forster. He broke up a fight at his concert in SLC and stressed the seriousness of how one fight can ruin a night in more ways than one. BEST CONCERT EVER!”
In the video, Forster is being stern with the men, but you can hear in his voice that seeing a fight like this hits home for him, and it’s not worth ruining a friendship. Forster preaches to his fans:
“Hey, bygones are bygones. Shhhh! Listen! Listen. I’ve lost too many friends over sh*t like this, fighting over stupid sh*t like this. Don’t worry about his brother, I’m serious. Shake hands. I actually want you to hug now. Hug, hug. Hug, dude!
Hug him back; otherwise, you’re out. Dude, Wade Forster shows are not f**king fighting shows. Okay? You’re going to behave? You promise me you’re going to behave.”
I mean, Forster is being a really chill musician by even giving these two men the option to stay. But before he decided that he was going to let the men stay, he asked them for their names and made them promise that they would clean up their act because it not only puts the performer in a bad mood to keep pausing the show, but it also ruins the experience for the other fans in the room.
“What’s your name? Eric, please behave. What’s your name? Hey! I’m talking to you. Angel, you two behave. You know why? Because I’m from Australia, right? And when s**t goes to fighting, the whole f**king place gets a sh*t vibe. I’m being dead serious. Can you respect me? I flew a long way to be here. Please, no, I want you to stay and have a good time. Dude, just hug it out… That’s what we like to see.”
Based on the crowd’s cheers, it appears the two men hugged it out to stay at the show, but Forster had a few final words for the men if they were to start acting up again, and it sounds like he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty if needed.
“Stop that or I’ll f**king sort you myself.”
Hearing that will get you in line. Right on for Wade Forster for laying down the law while still giving these fans the option to enjoy the show.

Who Is Wade Forster?
Wade Forster is a name in the country scene that you should familiarize yourself with if you have not already. Hailing from Queensland, Australia, Forster lives the words that he sings in his country ballads. His bio says it best, but Forster is a cowboy who can walk the walk and talk the talk, creating music on the side and later turning it into his full-time career. (Very similar to the Canadian, Colter Wall)
“Born, raised, and still working on a cattle station deep in the Queensland outback, his life has been built on dust, hard work, and long days in the saddle. A professional rodeo cowboy, he’s spent years on the circuit, chasing buckles, riding hard, and living the kind of stories most country singers only write about.”
Before fully blowing up in the United States, the Australian had some viral success with his heartbreaking ballad “Fighting Tears.” The tune blew up on TikTok in 2023, sparking interest from US listeners, but Cody Johnson really helped spark his breakthrough in the United States. During an interview, Johnson mentioned wanting to win a rodeo buckle from the land Down Under. Forster saw the interview clip and invited him to come rodeo alongside him. Days later, the two were riding side by side in team roping and steer wrestling at a Townsville rodeo.
Cody later returned the favor, inviting Wade to perform in front of 25,000 fans at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne during Luke Combs’ tour, putting his music on a massive platform in front of his nation.
In 2024, Forster made his United States debut performing a free pop-up show outside of Chief Records in Fort Worth, Texas. Forster was expecting a handful of people to show up, but was blown away when hundreds of fans gathered in the Stockyards to see Forster, and numerous fans traveled hours to come to the free acoustic show.
Now touring across the United States, Forster is bringing his authentic songwriting to fans who have followed him since the beginning and new fans.
In August, Forster announced a new record, Gooseneck Party, which is slated for an October 24th release.
“Didn’t plan on making a career in music. But y’all kept showing up – so I did too. You built this! Every comment, every tag, every word sung back louder than I ever imagined. This album belongs to all of us.”
Now is the perfect time to familiarize yourself with Wade Forster before the Gooseneck Party drops. Fire up a few of my personal favorite tunes while you’re here.
“Last of a Dying Breed”
“Fighting Tears”
