“Superstar!” – Lainey Wilson Reacts To Missouri 4-Year-Old’s Viral “Somewhere Over Laredo” Performance

While Wilson constantly interacted with her young fans, the tradition started on her Country’s Cool Again tour, where Wilson invited a young fan on stage, led her in an affirmation, and presented her with a cowgirl hat to take home.

A four-year-old fan from Missouri loved Lainey Wilson so much that she decided to dress up as Wilson to perform one of her songs during a local pageant. The little girl confidently takes center stage with her blinged-out bell bottoms on and begins singing the words to “Somewhere Over Laredo.” The little girl has a stellar twang and knows the lyrics like the back of her hand as she belts them out to the crowd.

The little girl’s slight twang in her voice as she delivers the chorus melted my heart. I wish I had the same confidence as this little girl; she totally rocked it.

The video took off online, leading Wilson to drop a comment sharing how much she loved this performance:

“Superstar!! Killlllled it sister.”

The little girl’s mother commented back to Wilson, noting that they will see Wilson very soon at her show in St. Louis. I hope we see this little girl on stage during that show; she deserves it —or at least deserves to meet her icon, Miss Lainey Wilson.
