How are we already at the end of July?

Every year it seems like summer goes by faster and faster. One minute you’re kicking things off on Memorial Day weekend, and the next thing you know it’s August and you know that the end of summer is just around the corner. I don’t get it.

Of course as summer winds down, so do the music festivals that come with it.

But while the majority of the country festivals are in the books for 2025, there’s still a big one left – and it may just be the best one of the year.

Field & Stream Music Festival is set to take place October 3-5, 2025 at Carolina Adventure Park in Winnsboro, South Carolina, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Riley Green, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and ZZ Top will headline the weekend, which is already one of the most stacked lineups we’ve seen all year as far as festival headliners go.

Additionally, Bailey Zimmerman, Shane Smith & The Saints, Kameron Marlowe, Larry Fleet, Tyler Farr, Whey Jennings, Ashland Craft, Boy Named Banjo, Josh Sanders, Sadie Bass, the Davisson Brothers, Fox n’ Vead, Warrick McZeke, Aidan Canfield, Edwin McCain, David Lee Murphy, Cole Goodwin, Rut Spence, Eli Winders, Ryan Trotti, Bailey Marie, Payton Smith, Matt Tucker, Whit’s End, Nate Hosie, Maddie Rean, Taylor Richardson, Greg Parrish, Kyle Dills, Brent Underwood & Bart Lattimore, Darren Deese and DJ Slim McGraw will all be performing throughout the weekend as well.

True to their iconic outdoors brand, the festival grounds sit on a 3000-acre outdoor adventure park that will not only give fans the opportunity to see their favorite artists live, but participate in a number of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and shooting sports.

And the festival is even offering a local artist a spot on the lineup the launch of their Hometown Star Search, which will give some lucky acts the opportunity to perform at Field & Stream Festival. Fans, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to nominate their favorite local acts by August 11, 2025, from which a panel of judges will select to earn a performance slot at the festival.

From there, each finalist will be given a unique promo code to share with their fans—because this isn’t just about talent, it’s about who can rally their community. The artist or band that sells the most tickets using their code will be crowned the official 2025 Field & Stream Hometown Star.

The winner will then get an invite to not only return to perform at the 2026 edition of the festival, but will also be performing at the 2026 Carolina Country Music Festival. And the winning act will be rewarded with 20% of the profits generated through tickets sold using their promo code, as well as VIP festival tickets for their entire band and a Grand Ole Opry experience that includes a performance at their 2026 Opry Plaza Party and a feature on WSM Radio.

Pretty sweet prize for an up and coming artist.

Speaking on the competition, Southern Entertainment co-founder Bob Durkin said it presents a unique opportunity to showcase local talent:

“The Field & Stream Music Fest Hometown Star Search is all about spotlighting local talent in our community. We’re creating a platform for emerging artists to reach country music fans and share their voices and we’re proud to help make that happen. Every great artist starts because someone gave them a chance — and that moment could begin right here.”

If you have an artist you want to be considered for the prize, you can go HERE to submit your nominations before August 11.

And if you’re somehow still on the fence about attending Field & Stream Music Fest this fall, you can find more information and buy your tickets online HERE. It’s going to be one you won’t want to miss, whether you’re a country music fan, an outdoorsman, or (like most people) both.
