Livvy Dunne Denied From Buying Babe Ruth’s Former New York City Residence: “The Building Voted To Not Have Me Live There”

You’re killing me, Smalls….

Livvy Dunne’s first real estate purchase would have been a home run, but that dream is no longer a reality. The former LSU gymnast recently took to her social media to share a heartbreaking story about how her purchase of a New York City apartment fell through.

But this was not your average New York City studio; she was buying. Livvy Dunne had her eyes set on buying the former residence of baseball legend Babe Ruth. Yes, the Sultan of Swat, the King of Krash, the Colossus of Clout, Babe Ruth… the Great BAMBINO!

“So, a few months ago, I decided I was going to make my first real estate purchase and buy an apartment in New York City. But the gag was… It was Babe Ruth’s apartment.”

Dunne revealed on Tuesday her plan to purchase Ruth’s $1.59 million Upper West Side pad, all in cash. She visited the place with boyfriend, another MLB legend in the making, Paul Skenes, but the building’s board voted against her living there, leading to the sale falling through. From the information shared in her video detailing the event, it appears that she was very close to closing when all of this unfolded.

“It got to the point where the realtor was so confident. Paul and I went and got an interior designer because I didn’t want to bring my college furniture to Babe Ruth’s apartment. That would be like criminal.

Then the week that I’m supposed to get my brand new keys to my apartment, I get a call, the co-op board denied me.”

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model had no idea what led to this denial, but played out a few reasons that might have led to this:

“Honestly, it wasn’t financial. It could have been, for all I know, they could have been Alabama fans, and I went to LSU. Maybe they didn’t want a public figure living there, but I was literally supposed to get the keys, and that week they denied me.”

The reason not being financial is a fact. Dunne was a prominent figure in the NIL movement and capitalized on the passing of the name, image, and likeness rule to the fullest, earning an estimated $9.5 million from it. Most likely, residents didn’t want to deal with the press and potential paparazzi that comes with being in proximity to a cultural star like Livvy.

While it’s beyond disappointing to be denied by a building’s “board” as your real estate deal is closing, Dunne does not seem to be letting the moment overtake her life.

@livvy I’m just disappointed that’s all                        </div>
