Makes me want to plan a trip to Vegas while he’s there.

But even a $2.3 billion venue has some tech issues every now and then. And unfortunately, last night they struck right in the middle of Kenny’s show.

Video shows the singer on stage when all of the visuals and sound stopped working, trying to diagnose the problem. But he took the unexpected interruption in stride, jokingly addressing the crowd through his nonfunctional microphone and urging them to all gather as close as they could to the stage so they could hear him.

Kenny tried to shush the crowd so he could make an announcement (it didn’t work) and told them they were “working on it” before deciding just to lead everybody in a sing-along of “Living In Fast Forward.”

As you would expect, Kenny seemed pretty laid back about the interruption and took the technical difficulties in stride. And not surprisingly, the Sphere has a pretty good IT staff on hand that was able to get him back up and running pretty quick – although it seems like everybody had a pretty good time during the break.

The Las Vegas Sphere is a bucket list venue of mine after seeing the incredible visuals it’s delivered since opening in 2023. The state-of-the-art, $2.3 billion venue features the world’s largest LED screen, 167,000 individual speakers that can be dialed in to each section, and fully immersive visual capabilities that deliver over 171 million pixels across a 160,000 square foot screen wrapping up, over and around the audience, plus 4D technologies including haptic seats.

It also features a 16K x 16K resolution wraparound screen, the world’s highest-resolution LED display, that delivers an immersive audio and visual experience unlike any other venue in the world.

Kenny is the first country artist to perform a residency at the Sphere, which has previously hosted artists like U2, Dead and Company and The Eagles.

Speaking on the opportunity to play the venue, Kenny has previously said that it was a way to provide a brand new experience for the fans who have been with him for so long:

“I’m always looking for ways to deepen the way No Shoes Nation experiences this music. Over the years, they have shown me through their own response to these songs how passionate they are about what they mean, how these songs are part of their lives.

When people give you that much heart, I want to give them even more. When we started talking about all of the possibilities playing Sphere offered, I was all in.

Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation, literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound and being together. To me, this is going to be a whole new way of rocking the fans, and I can’t wait.”

And though it may not have been planned, it sounds like last night’s crowd got an experience all their own.
