Throwing shade.
Of course, we’ve all heard plenty about the relationship between 73-year old Bill Belichick and his 24-year old girlfriend, former cheerleader Jordon Hudson, who reportedly met on a flight back in 2021 and struck up a conversation, which ended with Belichick signing Hudson’s college textbook. The two kept in touch, discussing things like cheerleading routines and her college classes, but at the time the New England Patriots coach was with his now ex-girlfriend, Linda Holliday.
Belichick and Holliday were in a long term relationship for 16 years, and last year rumors began flying that the coach was in a relationship with the much-younger Hudson, something that the two confirmed when they began appearing in public together at red carpet events and even on Hudson’s social media.
Since then, there’s been plenty of reporting about their relationship, especially now that Belichick is the head coach at the University of North Carolina and Hudson is apparently involved in managing his personal business ventures. Emails were released showing that Belichick has asked UNC staff to copy Hudson on emails to him as she manages his brand on social media and in media appearances, and Hudson was even spotted on the field with Belichick at UNC football practice.
The infamous CBS Sunday Morning went extremely viral, and ever since then, people have been completely invested in what may, or may not, be going on between them behind the scenes. While public sentiment towards Hudson hasn’t been overwhelmingly positive, it sounds like Belichick’s ex isn’t a huge fan of Hudson, either… TMZ previously shared that they obtained a report from Nantucket Dreamland (a non-profit Holliday is involved in), which shows that Linda was NOT happy with Hudson’s presence at a holiday party last December.
Holliday’s daughters, Ashley and Kat Hess, were DJing a “Stroll Party” in Nantucket, Massachusetts around Christmas, and Holliday, along with two other women, reportedly went up to Hudson on the dance floor to confront her after asking to have her removed. A staff member wrote in the report:
“Ms. Hudson was a paying guest. No concerns had been raised regarding her behavior nor had any issues been reported up until that point in the evening (the event began at 7pm). Ms. Holliday felt her presence was inappropriate, since the event was widely advertised as a party headlined by her daughters.
She asked that I remove Ms. Hudson from the premises, to which I responded that I would speak with Ms. Hudson after contacting Dreamland executive director Alicia Carney to discuss the matter.”
Hudson attended the event with Miss Massachusetts USA 2024 Melissa Sapini, and there were roughly 200 other guests in attendance, which was confirmed via security footage, so it sounds like it was a pretty big party.
Dreamland executive director Alicia Carney says she observed “threatening body language and escalating aggression” from Holliday and one of the other women who walked up to Hudson with her. The staff member who wrote the report says the women questioned why Jordon would want to be there when there was so much “animosity” toward her, which Hudson responded to by saying that she didn’t feel she was in the wrong, and just wanted to be at the “big party.”
Hudson said Holliday told told Sapini that if she “valued her current title, she should think twice about who her friends are,” pretty much threatening her by adding that she “had many powerful friends in the pageant organization,” which made Sapini cry.
Dang, Linda… I get not loving that your ex’s much younger, very annoying girlfriend is there, but she paid to attend. And threatening her friend who has nothing to do with any of it is a real low blow. This is some Real Housewives of Nantucket kinda of drama… I’m kinda here for it. Can we get a reality series going on up there?
Hudson and Sapini eventually agreed to let the staffer walk her out of the party, and once they were gone, Holliday thanked them and said the “momma bear” in her came out because of the fact that her daughters were so involved in all of it. That feels like a huge cop out, and I obviously don’t think that’s the real reason she wanted Hudson out of there, but it’s surprising this story hasn’t gotten out sooner.
Page Six also reported that Hudson was being “iced out” from the Nantucket social and charity scenes because Holliday is such a fixture there, and that Hudson isn’t going to be welcome with open arms:
“His ex, Linda, is working the philanthropic and social circles and she [Hudson] wants to get more involve. She’s trying to claim her stake in the social circle. That is Linda’s thing.”
I mean, it’s not shocking in the least that Belichick’s ex isn’t a fan of the much younger new girlfriend and doesn’t want to be around her, but the whole party fiasco feels extreme, because based on the staff report, it sounds like Hudson was just minding her own business (for once). Holliday’s daughters are not shared with Bill, but are from a previous marriage of Holliday’s, so I don’t really get what they had to do with anything, either… but like I said, it’s probably best if these two are never in the same room together.
And while Hudson didn’t respond to the story at the time, she didn’t miss a chance to shade the “Nantucket Socialites” she isn’t a fan of in a congratulatory post to her friend, the aforementioned Sapini, who was at the party with her. Sapini ended her reign as Miss Massachusetts USA, and Hudson shared a lengthy post about her friend and all of their pageant memories, and I just know she has been waiting for the perfect chance to throw some shade at Linda publicly:
“Last March, we strutted into the first ever double-header pageant for Maine and Massachusetts, both well-prepared and optimistic. In the final moments before parading back on stage to learn the judges’ verdicts, we exchanged mutually assuring “you got this”s. Next thing I know, my head is bowed on center-stage as Sal delivers the final verdict, which at the time felt like a death sentence. 1st Runner-Up. Like a good loser, I mustered up the best fake smile I could.
Minutes later, as the starry crown was placed over your perfect bun, my fake smile became an involuntary one. It felt like that unnecessarily emotional scene from Inside Out when Bing Bong whispers to himself “take Riley to the moon” as Joy ascends on the rocket and he fades into obscurity. I had hoped the stars would align for us to share the titleholder experience, but I was happy that my friend was Universe-bound on her rocket. So, I slipped out of the Marriott and folded into my obscurity, a box of Thin Mints and the arms of a man who silently understood the gravity of the loss; still happy for my friend. Like a true Queen, you stayed down to earth while up in space, for you had been a devastated member of the “1st Runner-Up Club” twice now.
I see now that those heartbreaking placements had earned you the humility you now carried so effortlessly. Through my induction, I earned the opportunity to be your cheerleader with no strings attached. From being your pack-mule, to jumping like an orangutan as you placed Top 10 at Miss USA, I had the most fulfilling experience watching you shine this year. You did more than hold the title, you embodied what it meant to be Queen of the Commonwealth; never missing an opportunity to represent and serve the Peoples.
Even after your historic run at Miss USA, you made 100+ appearances in every corner of Mass. & beyond. I know you will keep shining, metamorphosing and taking up space; even when others threaten you and insist that you don’t belong, e.g. the ‘Nantucket Socialites’… Congratulations on completing this chapter, Queenie. I can’t wait to watch you step into your reign as Melissa Sapini, Hollywood Entertainment Reporter Extraordinare!!!”
The post also included photos of Hudson and Sapini, and while I’m not a fan of Hudson and don’t really care about her relationship with Bill, this was fair and I think Linda had it coming for her…The post Jordon Hudson Throws Shade At Bill Belichick’s Ex Linda Holliday Following Heated Christmas Party Interaction first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
