Thieves have no business stealing from anyone, but especially not country artists, as they will call in their army of fans to hunt you down.
Recently, Nashville’s crime rates have been increasing. According to Neighborhood Scout, 1 in 87 Nashville residents has a chance of being involved in a violent crime, and 1 in 22 residents are at risk of becoming a victim of property crime. Not great odds if you ask me…
Earlier this year, country musician Benjamin Tod shared that his truck was stolen from East Nashville and begged fans to help him find it.
“My truck was stolen from East Nashville last night. If seen take a photo and tag me. Nashville police are about useless but tell them too I guess. Hopefully, they find who did this before I do. If you’re in the Nashville area, please share this.
$3000 REWARD FOR HELP RECOVERING.”
Tod later shared that his fan base pulled through, and the truck was recovered. Although it was unclear whether a friend or fan helped him locate the truck, the takeaway was that the community came together to conduct some detective work.
Another country star is hoping the music community and Nashville community will help him do the same after discovering he was a victim of property theft.
John Rich from Big & Rich was not having a good weekend when he found his ATV had been stolen on August 16th. Shortly after this discovery, he took to social media, calling on fans to help him locate his stolen vehicle.
“I WAS ROBBED! Someone stole my ATV…It’s a Polaris Sportsmen 850. Pay close attention to the tires…Very unique. If you find this for sale anywhere online, take a screenshot and post it in the comments! If you help me find it, I’ll send you an autographed guitar:) REPOST!”
