Joe Exotic Is Livid That President Trump Pardoned The ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Stars: “Never Been More Disappointed”

No one took the pardons of Todd and Julie Chrisley harder than Joe Exotic.

Ever since Donald Trump got back in the White House, the Tiger King star whose actual name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage has been trying to get a pardon from the president. Back in 2020, Exotic was convicted on two federal charges that stemmed from a plot to kill his zoo owner rival Carole Baskin.

Joe Exotic also faced violations of the Endangered Species Act and falsifying wildlife records. All of that added together led to the “Tiger King” being sentenced to 22 years in prison, and he hasn’t taken that sentencing lying down. He’s aggressively fought his convictions, and consistently called for a pardon from President Trump.

That’s why Exotic was so angered by Donald Trump choosing to pardon Todd and Julie Chrisley.

The stars of the reality TV series Chrisley Knows Best were facing a 19-year prison sentence after they were found guilty of fraud and tax evasion in 2022. They’re federal charges led to what was supposed to be a lengthy stay in prison…. until Trump decided to pardon them.

Good for the Chrisley family, but a tough pill to swallow for Joe Exotic.

The “Tiger King” himself quickly put out a media press release (with a header reading “#FreeJoeExotic”) arguing that he’s done much less than what Todd and Julie Chrisley did to land them in federal prison.

In a message titled “Joe Exotic Response to Trump Pardoning Others,” Joseph Maldonado-Passage once again fought to clear his name… while also expressing great disdain for Trump looking him over when it came to a pardon:

“I have never been more disappointed in my life that President Trump is pardoning all of these people that have actually committed crimes and yet the President leaves me in here as an innocent man, even after all the government witnesses admitted to perjury on world television in Season 2 of ‘Tiger King.’

The government’s ‘so called’ hitman even took the producers of ‘Tiger King’ and my lawyer, John Phillips, to the zoo and showed them where he hid a murder weapon in the woods and told him how they planned to kill me if putting me in prison didn’t work to steal my zoo.”

Man… tell us how you really feel Joe Exotic.

In a separate message, the Tiger King star got a little bit more to the point, and suggested that the Chrisley family was getting preferential treatment over himself when it came to receiving the pardon from the president:

“I guess being innocent is not enough in America. They all admitted to perjury on world television, yet I’m left to die of cancer before I can get any help. Why is it the entire world can see the evidence but the White House refuses to acknowledge that they did this to me knowing that they were lying?”
