Is Marcus King’s Wife, Briley, Collaborating With Ella Langley & Ernest Following Viral “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” Video?

Over the last few days, Briley King has been the talk of the town and the sound of the moment on TikTok after going viral with her cover of “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia.”

The other week, before taking the stage at the Marcus King Band Family Reunion, Briley was backstage playing around with her husband Marcus King’s band and laid down one of the most incredible performances of Vicki Lawrence’s “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia.” For some social media users, this was their first introduction to Briley’s vocal talent, more than likely being familiar with her for her funky and fun fashion taste or hat company (Little Bird Trucking), but for fans of Marcus King, we’ve known that she’s got a set of pipes on her. The way this woman casually belts out the lyrics is jaw-dropping.

The clip has already racked up 8 million views, nearly a million likes, and over 14,000 posts using the sound from her video. Even Reba liked the post.

Many were begging Briley to get into the studio and record it ASAP, and it appears that she’s doing just that…

After hundreds of comments and videos began popping up begging Briley to record a version of it, which she admitted she was scared to do, the overwhelming amount of positive feedback might have been the push she needed to get into the recording booth to do the damn thing. She recently shared a clip of her walking down cheetah print stairs up to a studio microphone as part of her “What Would You Wear to…” series on TikTok. She captioned the video:

“Say less.”

Implying that IT’S HAPPENING.

She also shared on Instagram, on a since-expired story, that she was in a recording booth, tagging Nashville’s Easy Eye Studio.

However, based on a recent Instagram post, it appears that on this alleged cover she’s recording, she might not be the only voice on the track. Standing outside what seems to be a recording studio, King is posted next to Ella Langley. YES, YES, YES, 1,000 TIMES, YES!

But it doesn’t end there. In the carousel of photos, there is another image of both Mr. and Mrs. King posted next to Langley and Ernest, which leads one to believe that Ern has his hand in this pot as well. Perhaps producing? The picture is outside Soultrain Sound Studios in Nashville, which is where Ernest recorded his most recent record.

One social media user commented on the post, asking if this group could form a band, to which Briley replied:

“We did today!”

Whatever this crew is cooking up is about to be good. And it’s good to see Miss Ella Langley back in the groove after taking some time off for herself as well. I’m here for this group of talent.
