Gavin Adcock Says Zach Bryan Ripped His Pants Jumping Barbed Wire Fence: “He Got About Halfway Over & His Pants Caught”

Tough look ripping your pants open on the way to fight a guy…

Over the weekend, Zach Bryan made headlines after a video went viral of him jumping over a fence to confront Gavin Adcock at Born & Raised Fest in Oklahoma. Zach was clearly riled up before taking the stage for a surprise appearance with Gabriella Rose in his home state of Oklahoma, and he was even yelling obscenities in the middle of “Madeline” about Gavin.

After he left the backstage area and while he was apparently on his way home, Zach decided to stop and have words with Adcock, jumping over a barbed wire before being held back by security. It was pretty wild…

The whole thing happened right before Gavin was set to go onstage for his headlining set, but after he got off, he took to social media and left several comments explaining what happened, claiming that Zach was “absolutely wasted” when he tried to fight him:

“Had a headline show to play. Dude was absolutely wasted. Had to do what was good for the fans. Everybody knows how that woulda ended.”

And in another comment on his own post, Gavin confirms that he didn’t want to fight Zach because he didn’t want to go to jail before his own headlining set:

“Had a show to play for Oklahoma. Wasn’t going to jail over that psycho.”

And he summed it up with the caption on his own TikTok post:

“Dude needs help.”

Aside from how dumb I think both Gavin and Zach look for all of this, I’ll be honest, Zach scaling that layered barbed wire as easily and quickly as he did really got me. I don’t think we talked about that part enough:

Like, he hopped over it so quickly and in the videos I’ve seen, it was hard to tell if Zach even got scraped up or had any cuts from the fence. There were three layers of barbed wire, so you have to imagine it at least tugged on his shirt or something, and this morning, Gavin joined Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy for an interview about the situation, where he touched on that.

Dave is the CEO of Barstool Sports and boss of employee, Brianna Chickenfry, Zach’s ex who we’ve all heard a lot from over the last year or so. Dave is certainly no fan of Bryan, it’s been well-documented, so I’m not surprised to see him getting in on this and wanting to talk to Gavin about it.

Gavin revealed that Zach actually “ripped his pants” when he got over the fence, which is actually really funny and only adds to the ridiculousness of this whole situation. He also explained that there were so many security guards around them that even if they wanted to fight, they wouldn’t have been able to.

I don’t know if that’s true, but I have no interest in taking anyone’s side when it comes to this because I think the whole thing is so stupid:

“He ripped his pants when he got over it. He got about halfway over, and his pants got caught. There was seven security guards standing around, not for only for my safety, but for his safety.

And if I would’ve took off after him, or he would’ve took off after me, the security guard were just gonna grab us and hem us up and not let us do anything. Plus, I was just being the bigger man, you know. He seems, y’all like to call him the smallest man in the world, he seems, he seems to wear that f****** pretty good.”

Gavin also gave a little backstory on how their beef started, and I’ll be honest, I laughed when he said he thinks Zach has been “sitting at home twiddling his thumbs thinking about it for too long”:

“I saw a 14-year-old girl post complaining that she didn’t get to sign or take a picture with Zach when he just blew on by while he was heading to his car at a concert.

And he went the comments and went off on her, and said, ‘You’re not entitled to anything when I play 2 1/2 hour show.’ This, that, ‘Get off my d***.’ And so I just stepped in, I was like,’ Why do people idolize you. Why do people come to your shows?’ You’re not  a good person, obviously.

If you can’t handle criticism from a 14-year-old girl, you don’t deserve the spotlight that you have. So I guess he had been sitting at home twiddling his thumbs thinking about it for too long.”

I feel like this is far from over, and Gavin has still been posting about it on social media, so hopefully they won’t cross paths anytime soon because it seems like they’re both still pretty fired up.
