Danny Avila Forced to Cancel Performance After Severe Exhaustion

Danny Avila was forced to abruptly cancel a scheduled performance after experiencing extreme physical exhaustion, the Spanish DJ announced this week.

The DJ set had been scheduled at the Hard Rock Hotel’s DAER Nightclub August 8th. In a statement shared to his Instagram Stories, Avila addressed his fans directly without mincing words.

“It’s the first show in my career that I’ve ever had to cancel to take care of my body,” he said, describing the exact moment he realized he couldn’t continue. “I was in the car on the way to the airport, coming straight from a show and another flight, when my body started shaking. I wanted to push through and make it, but I physically couldn’t because of how exhausted I am.”

The acclaimed “Diamonds” producer, who has been touring heavily across continents, admitted that the pace had taken a toll. “I’ve been traveling intercontinentally every week and putting my body through an insane amount of touring and, and I always want to push through but this time, I couldn’t” he added.

Avila explained that the decision wasn’t taken lightly, saying, “I was literally in tears from exhaustion, trying my absolute best to drag myself and make it, but I just couldn’t move.”

The message is a timely reminder of the strain that constant travel and performance can place on even the scene’s most seasoned artists, like Avila, who has been an active DJ since the early 2010s. His next scheduled performance is on August 15th in Barcelona before his current tour heads to Argentina, Uruguay and the US.
