Country Fans Think Riley Green Fumbled Relationship With Megan Moroney When She Responds To A Fan’s Shirt

Did Riley Green fumble the bag with both of these ladies?

Since the beginning of the year, country music fans have been back and forth questioning if Riley Green is in a relationship with Megan Moroney or Ella Langley.

There has been speculation that he was initially with Ella Langley after the two released their hit duet “You Look Like You Love Me,” which Green followed by releasing another duet with the Alabama bombshell, “Don’t Mind If I Do.” The two love songs captivated fans, and their on-stage chemistry played into their singing lyrics.

However, Riley Green and Ella Langley confirmed numerous times they were just friends, with Green even saying that they were leaning into it to get the same reaction as other great country music couples of the past, like George Jones and Tammy Wynette or Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

“Yeah, I mean, Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway. But I think that’s kind of the country music fan, like, they love the Tim McGraw and Faith, and the George and Tammy. And when we first started having the success we did with that song, I kinda told Ella, I was like, ‘There’s gonna be a lot of things said, but I mean, you don’t really have to play into it or not play into it, it’s gonna be something people enjoy the same way we do when we go listen to those songs.’”

But fans were not necessarily buying it.

At the start of 2025, fans then began to speculate that Green was romantically involved with Megan Moroney after it appeared the two were in St. Barts together. Megan confirmed that they had hung out while on vacation, but clarified that just because they were around each other does not mean it was with romantic intentions.

“He was individually on his vacation with his friends. St. Barts is a popular place! It’s one of those things where if you know someone on a small island, you’re like, ‘Oh, sh*t, you’re here too.’ So it was fun. Just because we’re hanging out doesn’t mean we’re romantically dating. You know what I mean?”

But again, fans were not buying it and still speculate they are involved after being spotted together in Riley Green’s hometown.

But after a show this weekend, I think it’s pretty hard to come to any conclusion other than Ella and Riley are just good friends who don’t mind cracking jokes. This past weekend, Ella Langley winked at a sign that read:

“Wink if Riley’s a dumb***.”

After we at Whiskey Riff reported on this, Riley Green and Ella Langley commented on our Instagram post, making some comical remarks about what the wink actually meant.

“Bro, my bangs were totally in my eye.”

Ella Langley wrote. Riley Green also commented:

“She must have thought it said ‘wink if Riley is a great dancer.'”

However… Megan might be a different story.

After commenting on a TikTo video saying that she needed a Riley Green shirt that said “Hoochie Daddy” on it, she is now having a very different reaction to the same shirt at a recent show. One of her fans sported the “Hoochie Daddy” shirt to an Am I Okay? tour show, which Megan spotted from the stage.

Instead of smiling, winking, or even giving a subtle nod, which would “confirm” to fans that all their speculations about their relationship are true, she did something very different. She mouthed to the fan:

“He f***ed up.”

Fans quickly commented that Riley Green must’ve fumbled the ball with both of these women.

“Now, can she and Ella please write a song about this together?”

“All he does is fumble, omg.”

“NO WAYYYYYYY HE HAS LOST MEG AND ELLA. Mr. Green, do better.”

“So we got this and Ella’s wink.”

“My jaw just dropped.”

Maybe there is some truth in Megan Moroney mouthing this statement to the fan, or perhaps she and Ella Langley are leaning into the drama and taking us all on an emotional rollercoaster. Either way, it keeps fans talking and it keeps their names in the headlines.
