BONNIE X CLYDE are back with a new single, “When The Silence Breaks,” releasing as both a personal reckoning and the start of a new chapter ahead shaped by an evolution of creative influences.

The new single marks the duo’s first original release in over a year and it finds them at their most emotionally raw, channeling real-life trauma into their own statement of resilience. It arrives in the aftermath of one of the darkest periods in the duo’s career following a murder attempt on Clyde’s life, according to a press release.

“After stepping away from music for a few months due to an attempted murder on Clyde’s life and a fractured record deal, we found ourselves in an unplanned break – one we didn’t choose, but needed,” the duo said. “And in that quiet, we found what we were looking for.”

Rather than raging against the past, BONNIE X CLYDE process the challenges of that chapter with intention. The melodic, tremolo-textured house track speaks from a place of healing while delivering the same characteristically memorable hooks familiar to longtime fans.

“This song came through us like a breath breaking the surface,” they added. “Where pain begins to dissolve. Where silence gives way to color, noise, energy, and life.”
