Primer 55 Pull Out of South American Tour with Ill Niño and (hed)p.e.

South American fans of Primer 55 might be a little bummed out today, as they learned the reunited nu metal band won’t be touring their part of the world with Ill Niño and (hed)p.e. after all this coming spring.

The tour, which was supposed to feature the trio of bands, was drawn up to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ill Niño’s debut album, Revolution Revolución. As it stands, the tour will continue without Primer 55, with dates scheduled for a number of South American countries, including Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.

Primer 55 explained their decision to drop off the bill with the following statement on social media:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Primer 55 will not be able to join our friends in Ill Niño and Hed for the upcoming South American shows this summer. We apologize and we hope to see you all soon.”

Later on in the day, Primer 55 revealed that they weren’t leaving the tour because of any issues with promoters or the two other bands on the bill. It was all simply due to “unforeseen circumstances,” whatever that means. Hopefully everyone in Primer 55 and their loved ones are doing okay.

But what will Primer 55 do now that they’re not heading out on tour? According to a report over at Lambgoat, the band said they would be focusing on writing and recording new music, so Primer 55 fans — get excited for new tunes.

Primer 55 is still slated to provide support for Smile Empty Soul’s tour with Makes My Blood Dance. As for the Ill Niño tour, that will still go on. Dates for both of the aforementioned tours can be found below.
