Mark Your Calendars: Luke Combs Announces Much-Anticipated New Album, ‘The Way I Am,’ Coming Soon

The album announcement we’ve all been waiting for.

This afternoon, Luke Combs announced his fifth studio album The Way I Am, which is set for release on March 30th. Produced by Combs, Singleton and Chip Matthews, The Way will feature a whopping 22 songs, and he says he’s very proud of the album:

“It’s been a long process getting this thing going, but I’m really proud of this record. I’ve loved the song ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room’ for a long time and it’s been awesome to see how excited the fans are for that one as well.”

Luke has been teasing tons of music from it, including releasing songs like “Giving Her Away,” “15 Minutes,” and “My Kinda Saturday Night,” and fans have been waiting on the official announcement for a while now.

Combs most recently released his special project Fathers & Sons in June of 2024, and it was all about fatherhood in terms of him being a dad to two boys, with a third child on the wa now, as well as his perspective of his own father both growing up and now as an adult.

It was a great record, something very different than a lot of Luke’s music we’re used to hearing, and it already sounds like this album will be more in line with projects like Growin’ Up, Gettin’ Old and What You See Is What You Get.

Luke hasn’t revealed the full tracklist yet, but we do know there will be one collaboration on it, which Luke spoke about previously, saying he actually had a difficult time getting someone to duet with him, which sounds crazy, but is apparently true:

“There’s one collab on this record… I’ll be honest with you, I reached out to a couple people, and they were like, ‘Don’t wanna do a collab with you.’”

He went on to talk about how there are a lot of factors that go into why someone may turn down an opportunity like that, due to scheduling conflicts and things of that nature usually, and Combs himself admitted he’s turned down “a million” collabs himself, so he understands it:

“And I’ve said no to a million myself, so it’s not… I was like, ‘Okay, I can respect it.’ And one of the songs ended up not making the record, because it needs someone else on it, and I didn’t get someone.”

But I still can’t figure out who in their right mind wouldn’t take the chance to sing with Luke Combs on his own album… he’s one of the biggest names in country music, and music in general, right now, which will make this one of the biggest releases of 2026, and something any artists would want to be part of, I would think.

Either way, I think we’re in for some great stuff, and the best part is, we really don’t have to wait too much longer to hear it all.
