“Black Out At 6” – Zach Bryan Mocks Brianna Chickenfry When A Fan Asks How He Writes Such Good Songs

The long and winding Zach Bryan-Brianna Chickenfry saga continues… and it’s getting funnier.

We hadn’t heard much out of Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry (whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia) in a while, so it was safe to assume that the country star and the Barstool Sports personality had moved on after their high-profile breakup. However, thinking all of the drama was over with went out the window when Zach Bryan left a since-deleted comment on social media.

I won’t recap their entire break up, since you likely already know that it was very public and incredibly ugly. Brianna even allegedly turned down a $12 million NDA that Zach wanted her to sign in order to keep what went down in their relationship private.

That definitely backfired on Zach once that came out. Well, not really… he’s $12 million richer and still selling out stadiums around the world.

Chickefry has been very open about her relationship with Bryan, and she hasn’t shied away from discussing it and alleging lots of emotional abuse. Of course, there is two sides to every story and some of LaPaglia’s own Barstool Sports colleagues have called her “repugnant” and dishonest.

That’s been the main source of the drama between them, that is until this past week, where the former couple has been going after one another after Zach dropped three new songs: “Streets Of London,” “River Washed Hair,” and “A Song For You.”

Once the songs hit the internet, fans immediately started dissecting what each song meant, and attempting to figure out who Zach might have been alluding to in the songs. With “River Washed Hair,” Zach sings about a girl named Anna, so many have assumed that he just dropped the “Bri” off the front and was referring to Chickenfry with the song’s lyrics:

“Remember when we’d sit around an ol’ fire
And you’d get your guitar out to sing
We’d sing CCR, “Jersey Giant,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger”
Or anything by Bruce Springsteen
Back when ol’ Anna would throw her ol’ hands up
With her face framed by the fire

To that sweet girl who tore off that dress”

Of course, when you’re trying to hide someone’s identity in a song, you change the whole thing, you don’t just take off a few letters. Nevertheless, the fans started jumping to conclusions.

Someone that was breaking down the song posted a video on TikTok, and really honed in on the line about the “sweet girl,” captioning it “did someone check on Bri,” and implying that the song was about Brianna. Zach Bryan quickly responded in an now deleted reply quickly shooting that narrative down:

“Lmfao I said ‘sweet’ this is not about whatever she has going on haha.”

I mean, that’s hilarious…

But as you might imagine, that comment didn’t sit well with Brianna, who fired back on a video talking about Zach’s comment:

“Lmao obviously he doesn’t think I’m sweet. I turned down 12 million dollars to share my abuse while Rose and Deb signed NDA’s. Also, for your information, his songs aren’t about anyone. He writes them blackout (drunk) at 6am.”

Blackout, you say?

If anyone was wondering if Zach Bryan saw that clap back, or at the very least caught wind of it, the answer would be a loud-and-clear yes. How do we know? Well, it doesn’t get more on the nose than Zach Bryan quickly turning around and sharing a teaser for a new song called “Blackout” on his Instagram account.

And then the real kicker… when someone commented asking how to “wright” songs (love that spelling), he simply said:

“Black out at 6”

Once again… absolutely hilarious. This entire relationship drama has been a completely one-sided story that has turned some fans (mostly female fans) against Zach, and while her allegations may be true in some aspects, maybe even all aspects, Zach hasn’t spoke on any of it, opting to do what songwriters do instead…. write songs. You know what they say… there are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth.

But he’s been a little spicy in the comments lately, addressing this thing for the first time ever, and I’m not gonna lie, I’m here for it.

Will Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry’s feud continue on forever? At this point, it’s hard to envision it wrapping up anytime soon. It’s the biggest petty battle we’ve ever seen, and I do have to hand it to Zach Bryan… he works quickly. And crafting together a song that’s based around one word that stands out in the clap back of your ex-girlfriend’s social media comment?
