Another diss track incoming?

It’s no secret that Barstool Sports founder and CEO Dave Portnoy isn’t a fan of Zach Bryan. After Zach’s messy and public breakup between his employee and former podcast co-host Brianna Chickenfry, Portnoy was a fierce defender of his friend and co-worker and went scorched earth on Zach, even dropping a diss track called “Smallest Man” (that was honestly kind of a banger).

Portnoy has admitted that he never liked Zach, and has called him a “fraud” while also revealing that the country singer had banned him from attending one of his concerts over a joke that Portnoy had made months before.

So yeah, no love lost between the two.

Well earlier today, Zach took a shot at his ex-girfriend’s employee (literally) on his Instagram story, setting a Barstool Sports “Saturday Is For The Boys” flag on fire before taking a swing at it with a golf club, set to the background music of Tyler Childers’ latest single, “Bitin’ List.”

The video comes after Childers’ official TikTok account (which Tyler doesn’t run) reposted videos last week by a couple of Zach’s ex-girlfriends singing the song – which some took as a sign of beef between Zach and Tyler, though the account has been reposting a lot of fan videos so it’s hard to tell whether they even knew those two ladies in particular were Zach’s exes.

Well Portnoy took to his own Instagram story to respond to Zach’s shot at his company, mockingly asking how the company would recover after such a vicious attack:

“Oh now. How are we gonna recover?”

Now, if you know anything about Portnoy, you know that’s probably not going to be the extent of his response to the video, now that Zach has brought him and his company into the beef. He’s one who goes scorched earth on his enemies, and it seems that Zach has firmly planted himself in Portnoy’s sights.

We’ll just have to see what happens next.

The whole beef between the two exes seems to have reignited in the past few weeks thanks to a comment that Zach left on a TikTok taking a shot at Brianna.

The couple broke up last fall, but the drama between them flared up again recently when Zach commented on a TikTok about his new song, “River Washed Hair,” questioning whether he had written the song about Brianna.

The singer quickly put that speculation to bed:

“lmfao I said ‘sweet’ this is not about whatever she has going on hahahahahaah”

Well as you can imagine, that comment (which Zach quickly deleted) didn’t sit well with Brianna, who fired back on a video talking about Zach’s comment:

“Lmao obviously he doesn’t think I’m sweet I turned down 12 million dollars to share my abuse while rose and Deb signed nda’s. Also fyi his songs aren’t about anyone he writes them drunk at 6am.”

A couple of days later, Zach threw even more fuel on the fire when he posted two text messages, apparently from Brianna. One appeared to be to his manager, outlining the terms of an NDA:

Brianna then shared her own text with Zach’s manager outlining the terms of the agreement:

The whole back and forth led some to believe it was Brianna who demanded the $12 million, and not the other way around. And her Barstool Sports coworker, Kirk Minihane, is apparently one of those who doesn’t believe her story.

During a recent episode of his podcast, The Kirk Minihane Show, the host says that another coworker called him recently and asked him to stop talking about Brianna, and in the process revealed his true thoughts on the situation:

“I don’t believe she was offered $12 million. Sorry. I don’t think that happened. Does that make me a bad person?”

It’s not the first time Minihane has said that he’s not a fan of Chickenfry. Back in February, he took a shot at not only Brianna but his boss, Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy, who has been a vocal supporter of Brianna through the breakup:

“She can hate me. I hate her. She can hate me, I respect that. That’s fine…

Brianna Chickenfry should hate me. I’m fine with that. I hate her.”

Minihane said that his comments would probably get him in hot water with Portnoy, but it wouldn’t be the first time: Back in December, Kirk called Brianna “the biggest fraud on the internet” after Chickenfry became a Taylor Swift fan following her breakup with Zach. And after Brianna sent the clip to Portnoy, the boss called Minihane and briefly fired him over his comments.

But that didn’t stop Kirk from continuing to unleash on his co-worker:

“I know that her dad is probably going to text me now, he’s probably going to be all upset…

But I will say, I hate Brianna Chickenfry and I wish her nothing but misery for the rest of her life. She can hate me, believe me, my hate will outlive yours.

I’ll just say I’ve had several conversations with somebody she was in a relationship with on the phone, and as Robert DeNiro said in The Heat, there’s a flipside to that coin. There’s always another story. His, hers, and the truth.”

Now, Minihane didn’t confirm who he spoke to, but he implied that it was in fact Zach Bryan by mentioning that he was offered a trip to Ann Arbor – where Zach had recently announced he would be playing a concert.

“She can hate me all she wants. That’s fine. I think she’s a repugnant human being. The world is worse off because she’s in it.

And everybody at the company hates her. Everybody at the company hates her. But only one person has the balls to say it. What else is new?”

Sounds like there’s still no love lost between the two.The post Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy Mocks Zach Bryan For Video Burning Company’s Flag first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
