I will forever need Aaron Watson to keep making these commentary videos because not only are they accurate in what the general country music fan is thinking, but he also delivers some hilarious lines throughout them.

Aaron Watson is back with another opinion video, delivering hilarious commentary with a side of the cold-hard truth. Over the last few months, Aaron Watson has begun posting videos and conversation pieces on social media, breaking down what he’s seen over the past week in country music, sharing his hot takes, or simply roasting artists. It’s comical, a little messy, and a highly lovable segment that Watson has incorporated into his social media presence.

This week, in light of more Zach Bryan drama unfolding, Aaron Watson hopped online to call out media outlets, saying he’s tired of hearing about Zach Bryan and his personal dramas.

“Hey, to all you country music news outlets out there. I’m speaking on behalf of country music fans around the world. We don’t want to hear any more news about Zach Bryan.”

Pause: I 100% agree with this statement.

But before we get fans all up in arms after reading this, going “Hey, Whiskey Riff, he’s talking to you, you talk about Zach Bryan all the time.” And I’ll tell you what… I’d rather be telling you about what rising country music stars need to be on your radar, or what new albums are coming out when, and we still do a whole lot of that here at Whiskey Riff. In fact, we do a lot more of that than you realize… you just miss it when one blog Zach’s personal life steals the conversation over the 30 other blogs we did that day. The fact is, Zach is a very prominent figure in country music, and whether you like it or not, people care about the drama of his personal life. The clicks prove it…

Okay, off my soapbox and back to Aaron Watson.

Watson continues delivering some A+ reasons we shouldn’t put Zach Bryan on a pedestal in the industry:

“Zach Bryan has already said that he does not want to be labeled as a country music artist, because his music is more expansive. Also, he’s the guy who got pulled over by the cops; he gave them the old, ‘Do you know who I am?’ routine. He also told a 14-year-old to GOMD, which means ‘get off my D.’

This guy is doing things that is making him the poster boy for Summer’s Eve. So we don’t want to hear that he’s back on Twitter or back on X or anything about his new hair plugs or his ex-girlfriend Chickenfry.

Talk more about things like Miranda… in her skirt.”

HA.

I mean…he’s got some points in there. I understand that some people prefer to separate the art from the artist, but there are times when Zach Bryan strays off the rails. I wonder how we are so quick to forgive and forget. But also keep in mind, a lot of the Brianna Chickenfry stuff has been a one-sided account of what happened. You know that they say, there’s three sides to every story: Yours, mine, and the truth.

And I have to admit, hearing Watson calling Zach Bryan the “poster boy for Summer’s Eve” was precisely what I needed to hear to start my week, but that’s not the first time that Watson has used that dig. Last year, he used the same line when talking about Warren Zeiders for having an onstage outburst.

Aaron Watson- we hear your cries.

If you haven’t seen the wardrobe malfunction involving Miranda Lambert, you can view it here. Lambert’s response to the entire situation is a contender for the best response video of the year.
