If you thought all these band line-up changes were bad, I’m sorry to tell you that I’ve got even worse news…
Today, hardcore punk group Stray From The Path has revealed their brand-new album Clockworked. A new record, how can that be bad news, you ask? Well, sadly, this album comes as the group’s conclusive project, as Stray From The Path has shared that they’re splitting up at the end of the year.
The band officially shared the news online. Part of the announcement reads,
“This is a mutual decision, there’s no bad blood, we love each other and we love you all. In the next couple weeks, we will be announcing our final tour dates, and after 2025 we will be putting the band to rest. Looking forward to celebrating the band one last time together for the rest of this year.
Thank you for everything.”
It’s always sad to see bands split up. Going strong since 2001, Stray From The Path has blessed us with quite a few ferocious albums. Out today via SharpTone Records, Clockworked signifies a sad finale and, in a way, a new chapter for all band members.
As for what’s next, Stray From The Path are set to tour Europe next month and play their final festivals together before officially parting ways at the end of the year.
For memories’ sake, you can listen to the band’s final album Clockworked now, here.
