If you’re already sick of seeing Taylor Swift during football season, you might want to sit down for this one.

Ever since pop superstar Taylor Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and frequently appearing at his games, we’ve seen all kinds of complaints from NFL fans on social media who are sick of hearing about her during football games or seeing the camera cut to her after big plays from her now-fiancé.

Of course the reality is that an analysis of the NFL broadcasts found that Swift was actually only shown for an average of about 45 seconds per game, and during Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and the Eagles back in February she was only on screen once for a total of seven seconds. But with the NFL understandably embracing her presence at games and hoping to capitalize on the young, female audience that she brings to the sport, it’s no wonder that some of the traditional NFL fans are feeling Swift fatigue.

It’s only going to get worse though. Now that Kelce and Swift are engaged, and now that she’ll (presumably) be at most of the games since she won’t be out on tour this fall, there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Taylor Swift on Sundays.

And we might even be seeing her on Super Bowl Sunday…whether the Chiefs are in the game or not.

After her recent appearance on the New Heights podcast alongside Travis and Jason Kelce, Swifties began speculating that she was dropping easter eggs that she would be the performer for the halftime show of Super Bowl LX in February.

During one portion of the episode, Taylor Swift discusses her granny hobbies, sharing that she enjoys painting, cooking, sewing, and, most recently, taking up baking sourdough.

“I have a different baking obsession every six months. Right now, we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken up my life.”

What does that have to do with the Super Bowl halftime show? Well this year’s Super Bowl will be held at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers…whose mascot is Sourdough Sam.

Swift is obviously the biggest artist in the world, and there’s no doubt that the NFL would love to be able to land her as the halftime performer, something NFL commissioner Roger Goodell admitted today during an appearance on The Today Show:

“We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent. And obviously she would be welcome at any time.”

When pressed on whether there was anything in the works for this year’s halftime show, which is produced by Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation, Goodell wouldn’t confirm that they were in talks with Taylor – but he didn’t deny it either:

“I can’t tell you anything about that. It’s a maybe.”
