Riley Green To Host Limited Series Podcast About The History & Hits That Shaped ’90s Country

Riley Green is taking us back to the 90’s.

Of course, that glorious decade in country music produced superstars like Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, Shania Twain, Reba and more, along with plenty of classic songs that many of us love to this day, and it was such a rich decade for the genre as a whole.

Riley grew up on that style of country, along with the older classics from decades before, but his love of that 90’s era in particular will be on full display on his new Apple Music Country show, The ‘90s Country Show. It’s set to premiere tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th, and will do a deep dive into the extremely influential and beloved time in country that has remained timeless to generations of fans.

Riley will of course revisit some of the biggest 90’s hits that made it such an iconic time, as well as the artists and musicians who made them, and he will also get very personal about the songs that impacted him the most and shaped his sound and the way he writes and performs today.

He says that hosting the podcast is a “full-circle moment” as someone who has always been a fan of that era:

“I grew up on ’90s country—it’s the music that shaped who I am as an artist. This Apple Music show is a real full-circle moment for me. I’m excited to take fans back to that era and maybe introduce a few new folks to the kind of country music that raised me.”

There will be six episodes in total, and if you’re as big of a 90’s country fan as I am, this promises to be a neat limited series that I will definitely be tuning in for and I think Riley is the perfect fit for this concept:

Riley is still out on his extensive Damn Country Music tour, which will head overseas to Europe this fall.
