Unveiling the tracklist.
Parker McCollum is giving fans some more details about his forthcoming album and gifting them with a new single. I mean, what a way to start your Friday! This morning, the Gold Chain Cowboy revealed the 14-song tracklist for his upcoming record, PARKER MCCOLLUM, which is slated for June 27th.
PARKER MCCOLLUM will be his third studio album on a major label, however, Parker has told fans that the sound of this record would be more in line with the sound of his debut indie album, The Limestone Kid.
Parker says it’s “the best thing I’ve ever done,” and he noted how good it felt to get back to “writing and recording songs like I always wanted to”:
“It is the best thing I’ve ever done. This record is honest, this record is raw, this record is one thousand percent authentic, Parker, and it feels really good to get back to writing and recording songs like I always wanted to.”
In the singles that McCollum has released thus far, like “What Kinda Man,” “Big Sky,” and “I Hope That I’m Enough,” these statements have rung true. McCollum has shown fans authentic songwriting and a sound that reverts to his Texas roots. This trend continues with his latest single, “Killin’ Me.”
“Killin’ Me” has a rough-around-the-edges composition that almost simulates the feeling of being at a live show. McCollum’s silky smooth drawl coats the listeners’ ears as he sings about a captivating woman. McCollum appears to have spotted a woman while he’s out and about, and begins fantasizing about how she’s everything he’s been looking for, moments before an interaction.
Everything this woman does captivates him, and he is weak toward all of her actions.
“You turn every head and stop a room on a dime
And when you look at me, I know you know I’m dying inside
You’re everything I want
You’re the last thing in this world that I need
Yeah, every move you make is killing me…”
Even though it’s a love song, it has a gritty feel that gives off a cowboy-like love vibe—many women’s fantasy.
In addition to releasing “Killin’ Me,” McCollum also shared the tracklist with fans. Given the singles McCollum has released thus far, the remaining ten songs that fans have yet to hear are expected to be heaters. On the tracklist, McCollum also shares that he has a song featuring Cody Johnson, which I was very excited to see.
Sadly for fans, the unreleased favorite “Big Ol’ Fany House” did not make the cut, like McCollum shared during a Q&A session.
“Oh yeah, no. ‘Big Ol Fancy House’ isn’t on the record.”

Fans were heartbroken to hear this, given that he has been playing it on the road. But given that he smirked after saying it, some thought maybe he was pulling his fans’ leg. So while that won’t make the record, it appears a cover of the Chris Knight classic, “Enough Rope” will be on the album. Parker has been a longtime fan of Chris Knight (who isn’t?) so it’s pretty cool to see him honor a songwriting hero.
So without further ado, check out the PARKER MCCOLLUM tracklist.
