Live Nation Employee Arrested for DUI, Vehicular Assault at Bass Canyon Festival

A Live Nation employee was arrested on charges of vehicular assault and driving under the influence after allegedly striking a pedestrian with an all-terrain vehicle during the Bass Canyon music festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre over the weekend.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Julian Flores was intoxicated while operating a Polaris Ranger side-by-side when he hit the festival-goer. The victim lost consciousness and sustained a head injury before being transported to Quincy Valley Hospital for treatment.

Police reportedly discovered an open container inside the vehicle. Flores, 23, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

In a separate arrest, Bryant Pizango, 27, was charged with assault and drug possession after allegedly selling LSD and ketamine to festival-goers, including an undercover officer. Police reported that Pizango headbutted an officer while resisting arrest, leaving the deputy with a chipped tooth and facial injuries.

The incidents were among 49 documented cases reported by deputies during the annual EDM festival, which returned to the Gorge August 15-17. GCSO Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman said trespassing was the most frequent violation with 10 occurrences, followed by eight controlled substance violations, five simple assaults, three property thefts, one assault with a knife and one assault with an unspecified weapon.

“I think concertgoers enjoyed themselves, and the small amount of people who caused a problem were handled by sheriff deputies,” Foreman said in a statement.
