John Rich Is Selling His Tour Bus, & New Owner Will Get A Memorabilia Package: “The Flag Stays”

Anyone in the market for a tour bus?

John Rich is sharing the sad news that he’s decided to part ways with his tour bus. The 2009 Prevost Star Bus is officially on the market, per a recent post from one half of the Big & Rich duo.

“I’m selling my tour bus:) It’s served me very well since 2019, but it’s time for her to have a new home, and I hope whoever gets her loves her like I do:)”

Captioned a video where he tells viewers a little bit about the bus before cracking the front door to give a tour of his home on the road.

“Hey, friends, your buddy John Rich here. It’s kind of a sad day for me because I am selling my tour bus. My black Prevost. I’ve been all over the US in this thing on all the Big & Rich shows and doing the Redneck Riviera business, so I kind of hate to see her go, but it’s time for somebody else to have fun with her for a while. 

Look at those chrome flames, I always loved the chrome flames on this black bus. It’s a Prevost, and it’s pre-Obama emissions. Which anyone who knows anything about diesel engines, that’s a big deal.”

Inside the bus, Rich shows off the living room, where he shares that he’s spent countless nights talking to folks, warming up for shows, writing songs, and doing meet-and-greets. Moving toward the back of the bus, he shows off the four condo bunks (meaning they are double tall) before showing off the master bedroom that features a slide-out, making the room big enough to do pushups, says Rich.

He’s also leaving something for the lucky next owner of his tour bus.

“I’m actually going to leave some things on it for you. If you wind up being the new owner, I’m going to give you a John Rich memorabilia package. I’m going to give you stuff to hang in this bus, and the flag stays. The flag stays, that’s part of it.

In the post, Rich did not specify why he is selling his bus. Perhaps he’s moving on to bigger and better things, or he is cutting back on touring and no longer needs to own a personal tour bus. Big & Rich has one date left on the calendar for this year, leading me to believe that they are significantly cutting back on the number of dates they are doing.

Either way, one lucky fan or artist is going to be getting a tour bus with a lot of memories and some John Rich memorabilia.
