Iron Maiden Post Recap of ‘Run For Your Lives’ Tour Kick Off

The time has come for Iron Maiden’s Run For Your Lives tour, and if you didn’t already get the memo, the band are encouraging you to party like it’s the ’80s, with no phones or screens in sight.

Last night, the ultimate dad rockers, Iron Maiden, kicked off their Run For Your Lives tour at Budapest Aréna, with Halestorm joining them for support. Celebrating 50 years of Iron Maiden, this tour is a significant career milestone for the band. It also marked the official debut of new drummer, Simon Dawson, who has joined them following Nicko McBrain’s retirement in 2024.

Iron Maiden has since shared a First Night of Run For Your Lives recap on YouTube. The video shows people mapping out the stage setup, snippets of the show, and crowd teasers.

Speaking about night one, Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson says,

“It is the greatest Iron Maiden show I have ever seen. We all went out and watched it. We had a run-through, sound check yesterday. So, obviously, we used that tape of live us for real. It’s pretty incredible. In fact, if you see it once, you’ll have to go back, because there’s so much you’ll have missed. I’m blown away by this whole thing, it really is something else. A bit of a game changer. Which, at our age, is not bad ey?”
