Flatland Cavalry Reveals Official Timeline for Highly Anticipated New Music

Starting off the new year with some new music.

There is nothing better as a country music fan than seeing all your favorite artists gearing up to drop new music at the top of the year. It’s the most thrilling time because you’re still riding the high of seeing all the year-in-review lists recapping the previous year, knowing that this year will bring the heat out of the gate.

Just a few days into 2026, and it’s always looking like it’s going to be another stellar year of country music. 2025 brought us some big moments like the Red Clay Strays taking home CMA Vocal Group of the Year, Zach Top winning CMA New Artist of the Year, and Ella Langley continuing to prove she’s going to be the next female superstar with the success of “Choosin’ Texas.” Of course, that short list just scratches the surface of all that unfolded last year.

But 2026 might already be giving 2025 a run for its money, as we have some big releases to look forward to, like Zach Bryan’s highly anticipated With Heaven On Top LP coming to fans January 9th, and Tyler Halverson’s debut record on the horizon, out February 13th, which is set to build off the sound of his Western Amerijuana EPs.

Now we can add new Flatland Cavalry music to the list of “things to look forward to.”

On January 5th, the Lubbock, Texas-founded band shared a snippet of an unreleased tune on their social media pages, with the impression that new music is on the way.

“Never coming back…”

The caption read as a video of frontman Cleto Cordero walking through leaf-covered grass holding his guitar. The melody accompanying the footage captures the signature sound of Flatland and got fans riled up, suggesting something is cooking on the horizon.

It did not take long for fans to flood the comments with excitement:

“My 90 in a 35 coming soon.”

“LETS GOOOOO.”

“My ears are ready, my heart is not.”

“I already can’t wait.”

“That Texas Tech loss did a number on Cleto.”

“YES!”

“This gonna be gooooood.”

But as country fans know, a teaser clip does not necessarily mean that new music is coming soon. Some artists will drag out their teasers for weeks or months before dropping the track. However, Flatland is not playing with our emotions as their bass player, Jonathan Saenz, shared via his Instagram Notes that this new music will be gifted to fans very, very soon.

“New music t-minus 11 days.”

LET’S GO! Country fans, get your hearts ready… I feel like this is going to be a heartbreaking heater.

Fire up “Gone” before you go:

Flatland also announced their spring 2026 tour dates, so if you’re looking to catch the band live, check out what cities they are headed to:
