Evan Honer has been on an absolute heater lately, and his brand new single is no exception.

Releasing singles at a rather prolific rate so far in 2025, Honer announced back in July that his third album Everything I Wanted will hit streaming platforms on September 19, and this project is shaping up to be some of his best work yet.

Titled “Not There Yet,” Honer’s latest release is a cleverly written tune in which the narrator finds himself struggling to make up his mind in the midst of a relationship that is moving way too fast, at least by his own standards. Though he acknowledges it is likely his own fault for ending up in this predicament, as the girl in the relationship is everything the narrator wanted, he remains on the fence about the whole ordeal as she continues to become friends with his friends and get close with his family.

Co-written alongside Sierra Carson, “Not There Yet,” is a strong addition to Honer’s catalog, and another one that many in his young and rapidly growing fanbase are sure to resonate with. Give it a listen for yourself here:

Honer hit the ground running with the release of his debut single in 2022, a cover of Tyler Childers’ unreleased fan-favorite “Jersey Giant” that has since gone mega viral, amassing over 150 million Spotify streams to date. That next year, though, he released his debut album West On I-10 to high praise from fans and critics alike, and he hasn’t looked back since.

His sophomore project Fighting For elicited a favorable reaction in 2024 as well, but as his third record approaches this fall, it seems to me like we are really seeing some of the best music thus far in Honer’s relatively nascent career.

The tracklist for Everything I Wanted is yet to be released, to my knowledge, but “Not There Yet” marks his 10th single release of the year, and I’d imagine it’s safe to say that the majority of these singles will find their way onto the album come September 19th. Here are a few of my favorite recent releases from Honer to give you a taste of his forthcoming album.

“Everything I Wanted”

“Curtain”

“Better Off Lonely”

Now we just wait until September 19th, I guess, for the full Everything I Wanted record to drop. In the meantime, go ahead and make plans to see Evan Honer in concert and here these new songs live. See below for his fall tour dates.
