This goes SO hard.
Today, Amazon released their newest anthem that features that country star Eric Church and Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty, who have teamed up to create the official NASCAR on Prime anthem, “Up Around The Bend (Amazon Music Original),” a reimagined version of Fogerty’s original classic.
It’s available to stream exclusively on Amazon Music as of today, just ahead of the Coca Cola 600 race in Charlotte this evening that will stream for the first time on Prime Video. Eric also recorded a great solo version, but of course, “Up Around the Bend” a Creedence Clearwater Revival classic, written by Fogerty and composed and recorded only a few days before CCR’s spring 1970 European tour. It was included on their Cosmo’s Factory album, and released as a single that climbed to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the spring of 1970.
It became a quick fan-favorite, and I can’t wait to hear how they reworked it to fit for the NASCAR races every Sunday… it seems like a great song choice, and I love the pairing of Church and Fogerty for this.
Stacey Rosenson, Head of U.S. Sports Marketing, Prime Video, says it was an incredible experience working with Church and Fogerty to put a new spin (pun very much intended) on an old classic;
“Working with both Eric Church – an incredible artist who is a genuine NASCAR fan – and the legendary John Fogerty to put a fresh spin on his iconic hit gives our coverage a distinctive sound that matches the energy of the sport.
Incorporating the anthem into our new commercial featuring the legendary duo of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte, alongside current Cup Series star Chase Elliott, taps into the heartbeat of NASCAR and highlights our commitment to delivering a unique, fun, and exciting viewing experience for fans.”
Like I mentioned, I think Church in particular is a natural fit to sing the signature NASCAR on Prime song, as he’s a longtime fan of the sport (think his hit “Talladega”), and has many ties to racing being from western North Carolina. Obviously, country music and NASCAR just go together, so this definitely helps make the idea of NASCAR on Prime seem a lot cooler.
Prime will broadcast five races as part of their NASCAR Cup Series package this season, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte will serve as analysts. The Coke 600 is usually a great race, and I’m excited to hear Eric and Fogerty for five or so races this year.

You can preview Eric’s solo version here:
Prime Video also premiered the first two episodes of the highly-anticipated four-part Earnhardt documentary on Friday, and it’s awesome.
I highly recommend checking that out too if you have some free time this Memorial Day Weekend:
