If you like bluegrass, you’ve come to the right place.
And if that’s the case, there’s a solid chance you’re already familiar with Nashville’s 5-piece bluegrass outfit East Nash Grass. The award-winning group cut their teeth in the local Nashville scene for years before a breakthrough of sorts followed their 2023 sophomore record Last Chance To Win and put them on the genre’s map.
Well now they’re poised for an even bigger breakthrough as we near the release of their third record later this summer, and if you ask me, it’s one of the best bluegrass albums we’ve heard in a while. Titled All God’s Children, the band kicked off the new project last month with the release of the spectacular lead single “Following You,” and wasted no time following that up with their latest track “Bend in the Road” earlier this week.
Written by mandolinist Harry Clark and Banjoist Cory Walker, “Bend in the Road” was inspired by the heir hometown of Madison, TN, and sonically, it showcases just how tight-knit the band is. With Maddie Denton (fiddle), James Kee (guitar), and Jeff Partin (bass/dobro) rounding out the crew, these artists play incredibly together, and that is abundantly apparent any time they pick up their instruments. Give “Bend in the Road” a listen as proof:
Thanks to popular artists like Billy Strings who have made it cool again, bluegrass is as popular as ever, and so many bands who have been playing it for years are finally getting their time to shine. With that said, East Nash Grass’ next record All God’s Children is coming at the perfect time, and it could be just what they need to take that next step in their careers.
So mark your calendars for August 22nd when the album drops in it’s entirety, because you won’t want to miss this one.
Take a look at the album’s tracklist below, and give the aforementioned lead single “Followin’ You” a listen, too.
All God’s Children Tracklist:
“All God’s Children”
“Hill Country Highway”
“Followin’ You”

“Lonesome Song”

It’s always a good idea to go experience live music, but catching a bluegrass show is about as good as it gets. Make sure to get out there and see East Nash Grass when they come through your city this summer. They put on amazing show.
