Der Weg Einer Freiheit Tell a Fallen Warrior’s Tale in “Eos”

The circle of life rotates around the constant battle between life and death. Existence and oblivion. Vitality and the void. With their sixth album coming out this September, German black metal stalwarts Der Weg Einer Freiheit seek to examine that duality through the voice of a fallen soldier in their new single “Eos”.

According to the band, the new song is “a visceral meditation on destruction and renewal; it adopts the voice of a fallen soldier, whose final hope is to become one with the earth, a vessel for life rather than a casualty of violence.”

The track’s accompanying music video, which you can check out below, retells the band’s story of rebirth and destruction.
