The long-awaited Zach Bryan and Kings of Leon collab is HERE.

Today, Zach Bryan released “Bowery” with the legendary 2000s-era rock band, Kings of Leon. The timing of this single’s release could not be better, coming on the heels of their run at MetLife Stadium together. ZB and Kings of Leon graced the stage for three nights at the New Jersey stadium, and even surprised the crowd with The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, for an electric performance of “Atlantic City.”

Leading up to the single’s release, ZB teased a few clips of it on social media, and fans instantly recognized the signature KOL sound. Bryan called working with Kings of Leon the “one of the greatest honors of his life,” as he’s always admired the work of the family band from Nashville, Tennessee.

Bowery of course refers to the part of Lower Manhattan where the iconic Bowery Ballroom located. It is a famous venue in New York City, and given that Zach Bryan often spends time in New York City when he’s not on the road or in Oklahoma, you can deduce that he likes spending some of his free time in this part of town. The lyrics depict the narrator meeting a girl and having quite a memorable night:

“Young man, there’s a place you can go, you can hide
I know you’ll never be fully done or fully satisfied
You want the world, want the girl, everything in between
And she was sitting next to me last night at the Bowery
Sick to her stomach as she sipped gin and tonic
Telling me she’d rather be dead than sleep alone
I told her that she’s everything that I lack deep inside
That I’ll always see her in the passenger seat
Of that black two-seater was parked out in the rain…”

Sonically, “Bowery” highlights both elements of KOL and Zach Bryan’s sound. The intro immediately gives you a KOL vibe, but the first verses of the song reflect more of ZB’s country roots before frontman Caleb Followill comes in for the first chorus. As the song builds, you can see more of the Kings of Leon’s sound, with their iconic guitar-picking style highlighted.

As a fan of Zach Bryan’s music and an avid Kings of Leon fan, “Bowery” is scratching my brain in all the right ways. Turn it up.

“Bowery” will appear on Zach Bryan’s next full-length record as well.

Zach Bryan announced a couple of weeks ago that his new project, With Heaven On Top, was on the way. However, fans will have to wait a little longer than expected to hear it, as the release date is set for next year. January 9th of 2026 to be exact…

It was initially intended to be an EP that would precede Zach’s final studio album with Warner, but since he reupped his contract for another two records with them, the exact process is unclear. On Instagram, Zach revealed some of the tracks that will be on the next album, which has led fans to believe that With Heaven On Top will be a full-length studio project:

“The songs I’m releasing are ‘River Washed Hair’ and ‘Streets Of London.’ Songs like ‘Dreams,’ ‘Madeline,’ ‘Plastic Cigarette,’ ‘Bowery,’ and ‘Rockaway’ will all be on the record. I’m working on making it special so everyone just f****** chill for a sec. ‘Runny Eggs,’ ‘Skin,’ ‘Savior Complex,’ and a s*** load more that no one’s ever heard are on it! Just been living well and writing often. It’ll be here when it’s here! Some of us prefer to write our own records.”

Zach Bryan also revealed that he will perform “Bowery” at his upcoming show at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado. He shared the setlist on Twitter the other day, and it appears to be a great blend of new and old from the Oklahoma native.

If you’re headed to CO for this show, check out what he has in store:
