Newcastle are keeping tabs on wantaway Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo ahead of the January transfer window. England international Mainoo was desperate to leave Old Trafford in the lead up to transfer deadline day after falling out of favour with manager Ruben Amorim. He’s played just 73 minutes of football in the Premier League so far this campaign. Wolfpack unite around Pereira Wolves are keen to tie manager Vitor Pereira down to a new contract despite their poor start to the season. Pereira’s current deal expires next summer, although given he is a client of super-agent Jorge Mendes, who has a big influence in the boardroom at Molineux, negotiations are expected to be relatively straightforward.
