The Premier League is set to welcome a new mega-money superstar, with Florian Wirtz about to become the most expensive signing in history.  talkSPORT understands that Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a total fee of £116million for Wirtz and that will see him set a new British transfer record this summer. talkSPORT understands that Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a total fee of £116million for Wirtz and that will see him set a new British transfer record this summer.

Chelsea currently still hold the record after signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton for £115million in August 2023.
