The dream team.

Last night, Canadian pop star Tate McRae played a show in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena as part of her Miss Possessive tour, where she surprised the crowd with a duet with Megan Moroney.

Tate and Megan have actually performed together before, when last year at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, they teamed up for a surprise performance of “Tennessee Orange.” This time, they sang Megan’s recent single “6 Months Later.”

Of course, it was written by Moroney with Ben Williams, David “Messy” Mescon, and Rob Hatch, like many of her songs, “6 Months Later” focuses on heartbreak and how she’s coping in the wake of a breakup. It’s also her current single at country radio, and has been steadily climbing the country charts after debuting at #30 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart (which encompasses all musical genres), making it the highest debut of her career thus far.

As far as Tate goes, you’ve probably heard her name recently alongside Morgan Wallen, as she was featured on the duet “What I Want” from his recent, mega hit album I’m The Problem.

Their duet was been the early runaway hit, and it landed on the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 chart upon debut (which consists of singles, rather than the album as a whole). Morgan had six songs from the record debut within the top 10, and “What I Want” is Morgan’s fourth Hot 100 chart topper and McRae’s first.

She has obviously dabbled in country music some, and considering these two have performed together before and are having huge career moments right now, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them work on a song together or something down the road.

I love that they made it a little acoustic moment, too. Check it out:
