President Trump’s “Y.M.C.A. Dance” Reportedly Included In EA Sports Madden 26
The President’s dance move is quite literally sweeping the video game world. Earlier this summer, President Trump’s “Y.M.C.A. Dance” popped up in EA Sports College Football 26. The President’s dance move is quite literally sweeping the video game world.
Earlier this summer, President Trump’s “Y.M.C.A. Dance” popped up in EA Sports College Football 26. So it shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise that EA Sports pro football video game, Madden 26, has also seemingly featured the POTUS’ favorite arm-movement-heavy jig.
This one to be exact:
Sports gamers are always searching for how their favorite video games change from year to year. And it certainly looks like EA Sports opted to insert President Donald Trump’s signature dance into the 2026 version of the game, which is set to release on August 14.
A viral video has spread online showing a Madden 26 gamer (StunnaShowtimeTV) streaming on Twitch and scoring a touchdown with Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. Once the player also known as “Quadzilla” crossed the goal line, the touchdown celebration was initiated.
And if it’s not the Trump dance, it’s strikingly similar:
Alright, I’ll go ahead and say it… that’s 100%, without a doubt the Trump dance.
What’s funny about specifically having Saquon Barkley do the President’s “Y.M.C.A. Dance” is that he’s actually become friends with Donald Trump. You might remember that back in April of this year, the talented running back got into a bit of hot water (for whatever reason) because he played golf with and hung out with President Trump the day before his team was to visit the White House… because there’s no way to not be political in this day and age.
Barkley responded to the criticism with this message on X earlier today:
“Laughing out loud. Some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office? Not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago… and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day.”
Gotta appreciate the attention to detail from the fine folks over at Madden 26 knowing that Trump and Barkley have been friendly in the past. Though I’m not sure how President Trump feels about the Eagles running back as of late, considering that Saquon declined an invitation to join the President’s newly re-established Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.
The council aims to help foster “programs and initiatives that motivate people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to lead active, healthy lives,” and many other prominent athletes (like professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau and Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker) have agreed to be a part of the council.
Barkley’s name was mentioned during the announcement of the council, but he later made it clear that declined to be a part of it. The Eagles star clarified his involvement, or lack thereof, during time with the media earlier this week:
“Couple of months ago, (information about the council) was brought to my team. I’m not really too familiar with it. I felt like I was going to be super busy, so me and my family thought it was in my best interest to not accept that. Definitely a little shocked when my name was mentioned.”
