Nottingham Forest eye £50m former Premier League star with Morgan Gibbs-White set for exit

Nottingham Forest are among the Premier League clubs exploring a deal for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, talkSPORT understands. Former Aston Villa star Luiz is keen to return to England a year after his £50m move to Turin. Therefore, the 18-cap Brazil international will have plenty to prove should he end his nightmare spell with the Old Lady this summer. And boss Nuno Espirito Santo could find himself with a further cash injection should Forest agree to sell Morgan Gibbs-White to Tottenham. The Forest captain has held showdown talks with the club whilst their dispute with Tottenham continues. Spurs had hoped to wrap up the £60m signing last Friday however the Midlands club pulled out of the deal citing an ‘illegal approach’ for the 25-year-old. Gibbs-White was key to Forest’s fortunes last season, netting seven goals and registering eight assists in the League.
