Noeline Hofmann Says Wynonna Judd Has Been Her Musical “Fairy Godmother” – “So Blessed To Have Her & Cactus As Musical Parents”

One red-headed legend helping another star in the making grow.

Noeline Hofmann has had quite the year since breaking onto the scene with her featured hit with Zach Bryan, “Purple Gas.” Though the Canadian hadn’t officially released any of her own music at that point, she had already gained some traction on social media, which is how Bryan came across the song in the first place. With the help of Zach Bryan’s single and her appearance on his Belting Bronco Session, she had garnered a strong following by the time she released her debut project, Purple Gas, in October of last year.

Since Purple Gas was gifted to fans, Hofmann has been an emerging country act that everyone should have their eyes on, touring with the likes of Charley Crockett, Colter Wall, the Turnpike Troubadours, and more.

While she’s surrounded herself with country music legends on the road, there is one woman who she claims has been an integral figure in her rapid ascent to stardom- the one and only Wynonna Judd.

Hofman shared with PEOPLE at the 2025 Americana Honors & Awards some words of admiration for the “I Saw The Light” singer:

“Wynonna’s been a fairy godmother to me, and has been just so kind and encouraging and has just showered me with love. I feel so blessed to have her and her husband Cactus as North stars and sort of musical parents out here.”

Earlier this year, Hofmann had the opportunity to sing alongside her musical idol and mentor at CMA Fest, or the Girls Night Out event at Ascend Amphitheater. In an Instagram post announcing that she would be a part of the show, she praised Wynonna for the path she’s paved as a woman in the industry and noted that her mom would be crying her eyes out that she’s checking this off her milestone list.
