Terrifying…

A Nashville country artist is grateful that all of his animals are safe after a fire in his barn forced him to run into the burning building.

Tayler Holder is an up-and-coming country artist originally from Texas who blew up on TikTok and Instagram before making the move to Music City to pursue country music. Over the past year he’s been on tour with Cameron Whitcomb, as well as playing several fairs and festivals around the country.

His biggest hit so far has been his 2024 single “Dyin’ Flame,” and this year he released a remix of the song featuring T-Pain.

But unfortunately the name of the song might have hit a little too close to home this week when Holder walked out of his house and saw a massive fire in his backyard barn.

Holder shared a video of the terrifying scene, as he rushed to try to save his animals inside the barn that by that point was filled with flames. He tries to kick down the gate to no avail, before finally jumping over into the burning barn to begin rescuing his animals by handing them over the fence to his girlfriend, Zoey Aune, and their friend Zachary “Little Z” Aubuchon.

After saving the animals they were able to get the fire knocked down by throwing buckets of water on it, and eventually the fire department showed up to extinguish the blaze.

According to a comment from Aubuchon, the fire started when a heat lamp busted and fell onto the wood chips in the goats’ bedding. But according to Holder, they were luckily able to save all of the animals from the blaze, and he praised the local fire department here in Tennessee for their quick response:

“Yesterday was nothing short of a miracle, but God is SO SO good!! This was one of the scariest things I’ve ever walked out of my house too. I thought we lost all of them but luckily we caught it right as it happened and had so many amazing people around us to help. All of the animals are okay and safe and a HUGE thank you to pleasant view Fire department for being here within minutes”

It’s incredibly lucky that not only was everybody safe, but they were able to rescue all the animals too. We’re right at the end of the fall fire season in Tennessee, when everything’s dry and leaves on the ground provide fuel for wildfires that can quickly burn out of hand.

Folks in the comments praised Holder, Zoey and Little Z for quickly jumping into action and saving all the animals, and it appears that while the barn obviously suffered some damage, it wasn’t a total loss (not that that’s what’s really important).

Nice work to everybody involved for the rescue – but I’m sure they’re hoping the rest of the holiday season has a little less excitement. The post Nashville Country Artist Rushes Into His Burning Barn To Save His Animals: “I Thought We Lost All Of Them” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
