“My Girl’s Final Wish Came True”: Megan Moroney Sends Heartfelt Message To Grieving Mom Who Tragically Lost Her Young Daughter

Over the last few days, Megan Moroney has been going viral online after a grieving mother of a fan shared a heartbreaking letter that her 13-year-old penned to the “Girl In The Mirror” singer before taking her own life. The young girl from Missouri tragically passed away last week.
Her mom tearfully read a letter to Megan Moroney that her daughter, Aria, penned, letting the artist know how much her music meant to her. Before reading her daughter’s final words, her mother tearfully let the internet know that this was her attempt for Megan Moroney to see the message and to know how much her music helps those struggling.
“Dear Meg, this might not ever get to you, but I’m a huge fan. My name is Aria Aleen Renea Burroughs. I was born October 18th, 2012. I’m 13 years old. On January 5th, 2026, I decided to take my own life. I wrote this letter in advance just in case I don’t get the chance to thank you.
Your music helped me through hard times, and you’re so pretty and funny. I got tickets to your Cloud 9 concert on August 16th, 2026. I was so excited to see you, but who knows? Maybe I’ll get unlimited shows now. I love you so much, Megan. Thank you. Bless your heart, Aria.”
After reading her letter to Moroney, Aria’s mother shared a collection of photos honoring her daughter’s life with “Heaven By Noon” playing in the background.

Absolutely devastating… my heart breaks for the family.
The video quickly gained over 50k views, with many social media users sympathizing with this mother’s pain and sharing their condolences with her. Some who knew Aria, commented, sharing stories and honoring her memory. The video even gained the attention of some other country stars like Tigerlily Gold, who shared they were keeping Aria’s family and her mother in their prayers.
The video then reached the one person Aria’s mother hoped for. Megan Moroney.
Moroney saw the post and wrote Aria’s mother a heartfelt direct message, noting that she is thinking of their family and praying for them. She also asked Aria’s mother for an address so she could send the family flowers.
“Hi, it’s Megan. I don’t have the words to express how sorry I am for the loss of your sweet Aria. Your video was absolutely heartbreaking & I can’t imagine the pain you’re experiencing.
I tried to send flowers to the funeral but it looks like the deadline for that has passed…could you send an address I can send them to? No worries if that’s too much. Please know you, Aria, and your family are in my heart and prayers. Sending you all my love. Xo.”
She followed it up with a comforting Bible verse from the Psalms:
‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.’ Psalms 34:18.”
After Megan reached out, mom posted the message on her social media, noting how much it meant to her. She shared that having Megan Moroney not only hear her daughter’s letter, but also feel the need to reach out to their family to share some kind words was her daughter’s “final wish,” and she cannot thank the “Beautiful Things” singer enough.
“Thank you Megan Moroney for reaching out. My girls one final wish came true and I can’t thank you all enough for the help. My light, My angel. I love you, Aria. Just wanted to update everyone so you don’t have to bug the beautiful Megan.”
This is a heartbreaking story, but hopefully Moroney reaching out to this grieving mother will bring a little peace to her soul, knowing that someone her daughter admired so deeply is praying for her daughter. Our thoughts go out to Aria’s mother and family during this extremely difficult time. Rest in peace.
