If anybody is an expert in the honky tonk process, it’s Low Water Bridge Band.
With a timeless sound that immediately transports you to the smoke-filled barrooms of yesteryear, yet still feels right at home today in your local dive, Low Water Bridge Band is country to the bone. Paying their dues in bars and music halls throughout Appalachia and elsewhere and diligently sharpening their craft every step of the way, LWBB has honed in on a powerful sound that deserves to be heard. And their brand new record Honky Tonk Process is all the proof you’ll need.
Featuring 10 original tracks, the album weaves seamlessly through classic country tales of cheating done-me-wrongs, drinking alone, and falling on hard times, but as LWBB so often does, they add unique perspectives and twists to these common topics that make it completely their own. With each song penned by a band member and inspired by real experiences, relationships, and observations, the record exudes authenticity and grit – Two things that LWBB has never lacked.
With the impressive lyricism bolstered by killer harmonies that sound like what you’d get if the Eagles hailed from the heart of Appalachia, LWBB is as tight of a band as it gets, and it shines through in the crisp sound on display in each and every song on Honky Tonk Process.
Give a few of my favorites a listen to get a taste of Low Water Bridge Band’s third record Honky Tonk Process.
“Drinkin’ ‘Bout You” ft. Taylor Hunnicutt
“I’ll Never Write a Song For You”
“Starlit Caravan”
“Smoky Karaoke Paradise”
With several band members contributing to both songwriting and vocals in addition to their primary instrument, the six-piece honky tonk outfit approaches their music as a team effort. Comprised of vocalists and guitarist Logan Moore, lead guitarist James Montgomery, pedal steel player, Justin Carver, multi-instrumentalist Rudy Bzdyk, and brothers Alex and Riley Kerns on bass and drums respectively, each band member brings something valuable to the table and contributes to the band’s impressive sonic balance.
Word on the street has it they put on a pretty amazing live show together too, and I bet these incredible new songs sound even better live. I haven’t had the luxury of seeing LWBB live yet myself, but I am fired up to catch them on their co-headlining tour with Jake Kohn this fall. And I highly recommend you do the same.
