I’m just really, really happy and excited. “After this, I’ll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can’t really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season.” Having arrived at the club on Monday, Kerkez underwent his medical before being unveiled as their latest addition. It follows a standout season in the Premier League last term for Andoni Iraola’s side. Kerkez featured in all 38 matches, scoring twice and providing six assists from left-back. His displays have also seen the defender nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award. He will now link up with Liverpool’s first two summer signings ahead of their Premier League title defence.
